Longio 1000m Diving Tourbillon Watch
Remember the Chinese watch maker Longio? I talked about them here when discussing their first tourbillon watches. I applauded the Hong Kong based watch maker for having the courage to thrust itself in the tourbillon watch market that is dominated by European watch companies that have the process down pretty well. China's strength is in ingenuity and keeping costs low. The highly sought after tourbillon complication could be had from Longio at a fraction of what the European makers charge. Not that Chinese tourbillon watches are a replacement for the Europeans, but it is was certainly a knock on the door of the stalwart giants.Now comes Longio's second tourbillon watch, the yet to be properly named 1000m Diving Tourbillon. Diver tourbillon watches aren't new, but this combination of 1000m water resistant case, sporty looks, and cost of about $8,000 simply cannot be found in any European watch for double, triple, or even quadruple the cost. SMPc accuracy questions
Hi all, My new SMPc 41, blue dial, bond, is about two months old. The watch initially ran at about +4.2-+5.0 second per day, which I was fine with of course. Within specs. Now into my third month, it seems to be running even better, at +2.2 second per day. Which I am super happy with. I want to say I AM NOT COMPLAINING! I just some questions.. should a brand new watch vary this much within the first 2 months? Most watches I have owned, Rolex, usually stay pretty solid at one deviation for a long time. Again, just curious to ask some other experts their thoughts. Thanks and cheers to Friday.

A what age you bought your 1st Patek ?
My first Patek was really my 1st High end watch. I started with watches in May 2012, so for the last 6 months of 2012 I bought JLC, Rolex, Omega, etc; Until my 41 birthday on January 2013, I post a thread called Is Hobnail the Final Answer? Let's call a friend just in case . On that thread I was convinced that if I was going to pull the trigger for something that expensive like a Patek it had to be the strongest representation of the brand something that set it a part from the rest. So I thought well it gotta be a hobnail bezel, to make a long story short after arguing about all these Calatravas and frustrated with the case sizes and proportions at the end (after 50 replies or whatever ) I said screw it; I am not buying a Calatrava and bought a 5712 I was 41photo 1.jpgphoto 2.jpgphoto 3.jpgnautilus copy.JPG

As some of you know, I picked up a PAM 233 not too long ago and I'm still in my honeymoon phase with it. I noticed the new PAM 682 while accompanying my friend to pick out his first watch at the AD. I instantly fell in love with it after trying it on. I've always admired the PAM 305/1305 but never considered getting it due to the size. I'm sure glad Panerai decided to release this smaller version. Here are a few pictures of both my new PAMs side by side. This was a complete impulse purchase. The 2mm difference make a huge difference especially for someone like me with relatively thin wrists. I loved the way it looked and felt on my wrist.
