Patek Philippe Titanium 5004T For Only Watch 2013 (2,950,000 Euros)
For the?Only Watch 2013 charity auction, Patek Philippe has produced a one-of-a-kind version of the discontinued ref. 5004 in titanium called the 5004T. While Patek Philippe has produced titanium watches in the past, they are exceedingly rare and none that I can find have been produced as part of a series. That means that all titanium Patek Philippe watches so far have been piece unique models. The last that I know of is the Patek Philippe Nautilus 5712T in titanium that was actually produced also for the Only Watch auction in 2007. It yielded an auction price of 525,000 Euros. The 5004T is a relatively small watch for men at 36.7mm wide. In my opinion Patek Philippe's follow-up model to the 5004 was the 5204 from 2012 (that I wrote about here). The 5204 contained the same mixtures of split second chronograph and perpetual calendar complications, and arrived in a 40mm wide 18k white gold case with beautiful oxidized black hands and hour numerals. It arrived just a year or so after Patek
An advice please,
Tomorrow I go to vacation in Mauritius.I want to take with me only one watch and I have to choose btw AP ROC 26331 blue dial or Ulysse Nardin EL TORO blue?I can't decide.......
Planet Ocean 2500C
I gave my son a Planet ocean 2500C coaxial for his birthday just under 3 years ago. It started to run slow and erratically and went in to Swatch Co.New Jersey for repair under warranty. It came back to him in good working condition. Theyalso returned some parts that they replaced, including the dial and hands. Since the dial and hands were perfect and no aging etc. I wondered why they would be replaced! Would anyone know why, during a replacement of some parts and a service, the dial and hands would also be replaced? Just curious
Are Pateks collectible?
Are Pateks collectible in general? Or are there certain models that you look out for? The reason I ask is that I was looking through Henry Grave's auction through Sotheby and he has watches that he bought for $40K which are valued at $200K...is this a general theme for most PPs?Say - the Nautilus. In 20 years, will it command a high price?Just wondering. Thanks!
