Top 10 Most Read Watch Stories Of 2013
With 2013 almost over, I felt a small recap of the most popular watch blog stories of 2013 might be interesting to look at. These are often difficult to predict but the results are surprising. First, we find that list-style articles perform well on watches-dealer. These appeal to a wider audience than dedicated reviews of hands-on coverage and we are pleased to see a very healthy mainstream interest in content about timepieces. Second, we find that popular brands clearly perform best. Rolex, Omega, and Seiko, as well as Hublot are all the topics of specific articles that have proved successful. What is also interesting, is that most of these articles (but not all) were actually written in 2013. We'd like to think that our best content has been from the last few years, but also know that Google has a tendency to promote newer-versus-older content when possible. Lastly, to put all this into perspective, we've found that unique visitors read articles on watches-dealer over 12,000,000 times
If a ceramic coke is released, do you think it will affect 16710 prices?
We've all seen the prices of the 16710 continue to rise, but do you think having a SS ceramic coke will change that?Would never sell my coke, as it is something I'm handing down to son, but just curious as to what you all think (and yes, I know that none of you have a crystal ball )
Went to my AD Today
Well today was finally the day I went and visited my local AD. I have to admit I was a little nervous and intimidated on arrival. This place had been robbed a few years back and because of that they have a security guard on duty. It is surprising as its in a very ritzy area flooded with cops, but I guess it doesn't matter where you are there is no safe zone anymore.I was greeted immediatley as soon as I stepped in the door. Very welcoming to say the least. I was greeted by a beautiful young lady named Emily. She was very welcoming and immediately asked Are shopping for yourself or for someone else?. I told her for myself. She asked What are you looking for, anything in particular?. I told her ROLES!!!! of course. She immediately made her way over to the case as it couldn't have been anymore clearer than the ROLEX advertising on the glass cases and on front of the cases. She asked Could I get you and your Daughter a Bottle of water while you browse?.What I saw I couldn't believe. Stopped by my AD today and picked up this beauty! They had plenty of PM stock, but only an Explorer 1, a YM, and an Air King in SS.
Baselworld 2018 - Rolex Designers Please Read!
ok, I know this has been discussed at length on this forum and the cake is already baked at Rolex, but Rolex designers need to make this watch...44mm submariner with the 3235 movement with a black and dark blue bezel with the wider glidelock bracelet from the SD43. All stainless with a flatter case back so the watch sits low. The watch does not need a helium escape valve nor the thicker crystal, hence making the watch thinner. No one dives in these watches past 100 feet.If they made this watch with 3 different bezel/face color combos it would be a huge hit. All black, dark green bezel with black face, and blue/black bezel with black face. C'mon Rolex...make this watch! ....And the msrp should be under $9k.
