Bring a Loupe: Two Vintage Omega Speedmasters, A Larger Patek Calatrava, A Great Futurematic From Jaeger-LeCoultre, And More
This week, Bring A Loupe covers some of the most emblematic wristwatches ever made – watches that have become symbols of the companies that made them. We're starting with a couple of vintage Speedmasters, and you will also see a Futurematic from Jaeger-LeCoultre as well as a Cricket from Vulcain, both technically advanced watches for their time. Finally, Bidder Beware returns with two watches that you should absolutely not buy on eBay today (or ever). This is your Bring A Loupe for January 15, 2016. An Omega Speedmaster Reference 2915-3, AKA The Transitional 1 OF 12 The Reference 2915 was the first Speedmaster ever produced, over a three-year span from 1957 onwards. As it often happens with vintage watches, it is also the most coveted and valuable of the Speedmasters; think for instance of the first GMT from Rolex or the first waterproof chronograph from Patek – both enjoy greater success with collectors than later models. Dilemna...
Hello all,I posted this on the Rolex Watch Topic forum and have gotten some good feedback but one member suggested I post here as well so here is my dilemna:Wanting to add to my collection currently consisting of the DJ2 Rhodium, IWC Ingenieur Chrono and a Tag Kirium. I want the watch to have dual time, able to dress it up or keep it sportyish so had my mind all set on the AP Royal Oak dual time (I know there is a price difference) but I went to the AD and saw the GMT-2 BNLR in person and its really starting to grow on me. The black and blue looks really sharp and its cheaper in price lol. What would you guys choose if you were me?Thanks in advance!
Breitling B-1 Limited Edition Question
I have the opportunity to purchase a Limited Edition Breitling B1 with box and papers. It's called the B-1 US Navy Adversary watch. According to a website that I visited, there were only 25 of these watches made. The watch has been worn but is in good shape. Two questions. Does anyone have any additional information on the watch, and can anyone tell me what this watch is worth? Here's a Wikipedia link to some information about the logo on the left of the watch face. And here's an image of the watch.
Incoming SMP from Davidsw my first Omega
Incoming I have my very first (of many I am sure) Omega. I talked to Davidsw last week and told him what I was looking for and he has come through! I am sure I will be posting plenty of photos of my new baby once I get it. Thanks to all of you guys on here who helped me decide which speedmaster I wanted and for providing sound advice! Hope this is okay, I borrowed a pic David sent me.

I've never received a package this early. Fedex came knocking on my door just after 8:00am! Sorry for the crppy blackberry pics. I don't have a fancy camera yet.
