We are running out of superlatives to describe F.P. Journe. Widely regarded as one of the finest watchmakers of his generation, this man famously made his own tourbillon timepiece at the age of just 27, when he decided that the only way he could afford one was to make one for himself. Today, the man and his eponymous company are responsible for some of the most technically innovative and beautifully made watches - a personal favorite of mine is the Chronomtre Rsonance. Join us in a short documentary to find out from the man himself about his views on watchmaking and what inspires and motivates him.Next, we spend a day at the Concours d'Elegance at Pebble Beach with Rolex ambassador Jackie Stewart to talk about watches and, of course, cars. As for new watches, we check out Arnold & Son's exquisite Time Pyramid watch, IWC's Aquatimer Deep Three Depth Gauge and ITAnano's affordable Phantom Carbon Automatic 49 watch. Finally, we learn more about high-end watchmaking and the roles o
Omega Speedmaster Question
I sent my watch out to the Omega repair facility in Secaucus,NJ. I was quoted a price of $ 2000 for a complete resoration. The band was $700 plus by itself. Is anyone aware of anyone who has the capacity to repair and restore other than a Omega facility?? Or should I just buy a new one??They stated they would be replacing the following: 1 The luminous material on the hands is flaking 2 The hands are damaged 3 Movement shows sins of water damage 4 One or more of the pushers are damaged and detached 5 One or more of the perminate links in the bracelet are missing. and must be replaced 6 Clasp is damaged 7 Movement is rusted
Official TRF 114060 Owners Thread
OK, I'll start it up. Don't judge until you have handled it in person. This is the perfect evolution of the Submariner. To all who now own, or will own the Rolex Submariner 114060-Eddie
INCOMING ...SD43...10 day wait!
I had been sitting on waiting lists in my area that gave me wait time of 1/2 years, but I am a very impatient person, and toyed with going grey, but found an AD that said if I paid in full it could be 2-3 months, but likely very less time.I placed my order & paid in full on March 3rd, and it came on March 13!I think that it certainly pays off to deal with an AD that doesn't do lists, as I'd still be waiting the 1-2 yearsIts an amazing piece, substantial without being cumbersome, very comfortable, not heavy and I think my favorite part is the mirror black fully graduated bezelThanks and shout outs to all the posters of the SD43 on here, it was great to hear so many opinions in my research before making my decision. Also, I had the divers extension removed at the advice of TRF membersCheersDweezil
