Bathys Cesium 133 Atomic Clock Wrist Watch Accurate To A Second Each 1000 Years
It literally makes zero sense from a marketing standpoint that Hawaiian surfer lifestyle watch brand Bathys Hawaii would suddenly work on developing an atomic clock wristwatch (what you see in this post is a working prototype). While a few others are currently in production, Bathys may have beat the rest in terms of actually releasing a working prototype of the world's first atomic clock powered wristwatch, and that is pretty cool. So yes, the upcoming Bathys Cesium 133 timepiece doesn't fit in with the theme of the brand, but it will be designed to "fit in". However, most people don't know that Bathys founder Dr. John Patterson was first and foremost a scientist. Now things begin to make sense a bit more sense.Bathys tracked the development of the atomic timekeeping chips that are novel, miniaturized versions of the much larger cesium-based atomic clocks developed in the 1950s. Patterson and engineer George Talbot have succeeded in producing the first watch natively accurate to one se
the official COSC chronometer-certification - Breitling Caliber 17
The heart of the timekeeper is a self-winding movement crowned by the official COSC chronometer-certification - Breitling Caliber 17. The 25-jewel movement is beating at a high frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The screw-locked crown is protected by powerful lateral reinforcements. The safety valve is used to balance out pressure differences inside and outside the case. The new Breitling Superocean 42 White Water watch is presented on a white rubber Diver Pro strap. The novelty will be available exclusively from the brand's boutiques.
New Arrival - Blue 5711
I actually got the call from my AD in late December that a nautilus had come in - and a full 15 months earlier than their original estimate. Finally getting around to posting some pics. This has pretty much immediately become my favorite watch, though I plan to do an update in 6 months to revisit this statement.Anyway, I'm not sure what I can say that hasn't already been discussed at length on this forum - the dial is a beautiful blue that changes in different lighting, the bracelet is incredibly comfortable, and the thinness of the watch really makes it easy to wear. In my humble opinion, it's close to perfect.
Watch accuracy apps?
I saw one and downloaded it. I took the readings as it requested. Day 1. 0.0Day 2. +75Day 3. Back to zero spd I don't have too much faith in it going forward. It was a free app. Can't cope t much I guess. What do you use?
First post, first Rolex... Advice needed.
Hi dudes. I'm going to finally buy my first Rolex, and am torn between a used GMT (Pepsi, 16710 - I prefer a newer, cleaner look opposed to vintage) v. a new 41mm Datejust (blue dial, jubilee). I never thought I would consider a Datejust over a sport watch, but the new 41mm with the jubilee is just gorgeous. With that said, I've always wanted a Pepsi GMT, so it's a true first world problem! My current collection consists of: Speedy Pro, Nomos Metro Datum Gangreserve, JLC Master Calendar, GO Seventies (three-hander w/ blue dial), IWC Le Petit Prince, Tudor Black Bay (Red - ETA), and a trusty SKX009. I don't need the watch to fill a spot in my collection, but context is always helpful.Any advice is appreciated, many thanks.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
