Perpetual Pateks Still Come With Winder Boxes?
Does anyone know whether perpetual Pateks are still sold in the U.S. with a winder presentation box? I bought a new 5140 two weeks ago from an AD. It came with a beautiful wooden presentation box, but no winder. Have they been discontinued, or did the AD keep it? Wanted to check here before complaining. I can't find anything on Patek's website concerning the accessories, other than the solid case back and setting tool.
Three Way Trade= Pepsi Jubilee
Hi, so after many days of trolling through the internet for a suitable super jubilee, I've come up with a (temporary?) solution using what's on hand.U serial 16570 Polar gets SEL Oyster bracelet from Y serial 16710 Pepsi;7,2xxx (birth year) 16014 gets HEL Oyster from 16570;Y serial 16710 gets 62510H jubilee from 16014... & viola! Had to slightly adjust the DJ's 555 endlinks to fit the Pepsi but all seems to fit okay. Don't worry, I am on the hunt for more suitable 502t endlinks! Bonus is that my DJ instantly becomes more wearable and the SEL bracelet upgrade significantly improves the previously rattly Polar! Anyway, this was my quick and nasty remedy to catching Basel-Pepsi fever (it's going around) without having to endure the years long wait list from the AD or inevitable extortionist grey markups... or am I doing it wrong? Opinions on Ebay 1501 needed.
Thank you in advance for any comments or observations that can be made about the watch or any other part of the sale/presentation including the seller. sshah2010 I have been browsing for a birth year (1975) watch for a while and another TRF'ers recent acquisition got me to looking again. Not really wanting to pay the prices for subs or GMT's if the era. Had originally decided on some sort of DJ on a strap, maybe YG but flexible. This popped up on eBay and naturally I am going to do my due diligence. Looks really good to me but the date range 4,ooo,xxx seems off for a 1975 watch as advertised. Seems more 1973'ish??? But it appears to be complete and in wonderful shape and I am not sure it has ever been refinished?? Any and all questions and comments welcome. And again, thank you in advance for your opinions.
