Adults Only: Perrelet’s Erotic Dial Limited Editions
The themes of Perrelet’s previous limited-edition Turbine watches have ranged from patriotism to auto racing to the Chinese Year of the Dragon; its latest are targeted to more, shall we say, prurient interests: the Turbine Erotic collection, which feature decidedly adult illustrations behind the spinning, dial-side rotors.So-called erotic watches which feature bawdy images on their dials have been around at least 200 years, and remain an obsession among some collectors. Perrelet’s venture into this niche focuses on a very specific genre called hentai, a racy style of Japanese manga aimed at adults. Each of the four dials features a different miniature hentai painting, executed primarily in black and white with just a touch of red. What gives these watches a sense of voyeurism is the design of the dial. As with all Turbine watches, the image on the dial is partially obscured behind the “turbine blades” of the rotor (as shown below) and becomes visible only whe
YES Watches Offer Celestial Time Telling At A Glance
I must say that the first time I saw the YES watch, I was confused and did not know what to make of it. I read the long list of features it had and all the information it was able to provide and was instantly perplexed. I certainly believed all the promised information was there, but I was not convinced that it would be easy to use or understandable. I based this conclusion on my experience with other "information rich" watches, but I was wrong. Take the slide-rule available on certain Breitling watches. You practically need a user guide and training course on how to use that thing. Sure you can calculate airplane fuel consumption, if you know how.The YES watches aren't as complex as their rich feature list would have you believe. The computer inside makes things simpler than you'd think, and the information displayed right on the face is what you need to know the most. For a full list of YES watch features, visit the YES Watch homepage here. What I will talk about are those features I
She is finally back from the Spa!!
Hey Everyone,After a couple of trips to Clearwater and around 5 months, I finally have my ROC back. I won't belabor the details for it's extended stay at APSC as I have already brought it up in another thread, but needless to say, I am excited to enjoy it for the rest of the summer. I ordered the conversion for the rubber strap for the warmer months and love the look and also the feel so far. Enjoy the day everyone (I know I will)!

first patek
friends,i need some expert advice on buying my first patek. here are my thoughts (a bit chaotic) and options:1)Calatrava 5296r-010 (non sector white dial): i really like this watch. but has wrist presence inspite of its rather small size, very elegant.2) annual calendars: i can get a 5396r-012 (breguet numerals, white dial) and a 5205g-010 (darker dial). i have a slight estethic preference for the 5205 but the 5396 breguet might become a future classic while that is difficullt to say about the 5205. or am i wrong?3)nautilus: i can get (actually at a fair discount) a 5711r but it does little for me. surely a great watch but the dial color is not really spectacular. the other option is a 5980 1AR-01 which - surely the most expensive watch i have under consideration- is spectacular.grateful for all thoughts...cheers peter
