J serial Diver runs fast on wrist, is it normal?
Hi all,I'm new to AP and just got my 15710 Diver recently. I've tested it for few days and found that if I let it rest on the table with the crown down position, its accuracy is almost spot on; once I put it on my wrist, it ran fast and gained about 1 second every two hours. My question is, is it normal for the calibre 3120? Does it sound like a re-banking issue? Many thanksLi
Thoughts re: the White Ceramic Diver
Hi All,I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend. I'm a longtime AP fan. I currently own a Rubberclad and a 15400. I want to add a diver. The steel and the black ceramic are discussed here often. I was wondering if anyone here owns the white version? I know people say it looks like a G-Shock. (I have a white G-Shock and wear it often). I thought it was good looking, but just OK until I saw it in person. Then I was smitten... The finish is amazing.I welcome any thoughts or opinions. And any wrist shots would be much appreciated.Thank you!Best wishes,Dave
AP Royal Oak 15400 Prices
Hey folks,So i'm looking to possibly pick up a 15400 in black and was wondering what are the best bargains out there? I've seen new ones sell on the forum for between 13-14k. Any idea if it's possible to beat these prices with a good dealer? What have folks on here bought this for? Thanks,JP
Dose antone know what year this watch may be thanks...
Thanks this is the new addition and is in the mail..
Platinum Rolex/18206 and "hollow links"
Hi everyone - longtime reader, have never registered/posted until now.I own a Rolex 18206, all platinum case/President bracelet/bezel, and have been reading about the solid vs hollow links on here for awhile now.Convinced that the 40mm newer platinum Day Dates would be significantly heavier than mine, I recently visited a Rolex AD and asked to see one - and was stunned when it weighed about the same as my pre-2000 36mm.Most of the posts on here refer to the weight difference in steel and gold bracelets for pre/post 2000 watches but I assume the hollow links issue also applies to the platinum models. I assume the minimal-seeming weight difference is simply because platinum is generally heavier/denser?Lastly, my watch is almost 30 years old and the bracelet will eventually need a tune-up - can anyone speak to Michael Young's experience working on platinum President/other platinum bracelets? Thanks much.
