Raven Deep Tech Review
When last we took a look at Raven Watches, they had just released two interesting models; the Raven Vintage and the Raven Deep. The Vintage was an homage to the Rolex Submariner ref. 6538, famously worn by Sean Connery as James Bond in Dr. No, that utilized a domed acrylic crystal, gilt hands and other specific details to make for a very fun watch. The Raven Deep took elements of various historical models, such as the 6538 and the 5517 mil-sub, and mixed them together to create a cool chimera with a high water resistance at 4000ft or 1220m. Between the two watches, there was a lot to like, including great build quality, exceptional lume and fairly tame prices.Following up on these watches, they have now released the Raven Deep Tech, which builds off the Deep model concept, for a new hybrid style with a massive 8200ft/2500m water resistance. The Deep Tech is a funky mix of elements that refer to various Rolex and Tudor models. The case speaks to Sea-Dwellers while the dial is adapted fr
Could you provide an email contact for the AP Service Center in FL?
Could you guys provide me with an email contact for the AP service center in Florida? I tried searching on the forum because I have seen it posted in the past.I am thinking about getting my AP Diver serviced and the case re-finished.If you know, could you confirm whether AP would do a case re-finish without servicing the movement? Thanks!
Omega now as good as Rolex
Had to laugh at an Omega Boutique today, I was just having a look when one of the sales person asks if I want any help. I explained I was just looking and as Omeaga are pricing there new PO's close to Rolex Subs I would rather go Rolex than Omega, at this point he said Omega were now regarded as good as Rolex and people think of them as equal to Rolex. I could have said I don't think thats the case but feel I would have lost the battle, I know Omega have got better but I don't think they have caught up Rolex yet what do you think.
Too soon? Nah, its the 3-month whistle to SIHH. Predictions?
Lots going on internally these days at Panerai and other brands making it an unpredictable time. What do you think we'll see at SIHH 18? Whatever you're thinking, get it out. It could be a safe prediction or a seemingly outlandish one. That said, if you have nothing nice to say...you know the rest. I'll hold back for now. Last year I somehow managed two predictions that came true, though one is yet to be released.
Recommendations for Panerai Service
I am looking to have a couple of Panerai's serviced and would like to know if there are any watch repair specialists that anyone would recommend in the lower 48 of Continental US. One is a PAM 356 which has a Valjoux 7750 movement that I know anyone can service. The other is a PAM 244 and I'm not sure what movement it has. Thanks in advance.
