First Look at the Gavox Avidiver
Last October at Wind-Up: NYC, I got a sneak peek at a prototype watch by Gavox that was very exciting. As you might recall, last time we discussed Gavox, who are a small brand with fairly bold ambitions, they had redefined the quartz pilot with their Aurora watch. One of the first watches to use a Soprod Mecatronic movement, it took an analog aviator design and gave it the functionality of a digital watch with an impressive array of complications. Their newest watch continues their pursuit of original variations on the pilot with a mechanical concept that is meant to excel above and below land; the Avidiver.At a glance, the Avidiver appears to be a dual crown aviator watch, presumably with an internal bezel. However, the second crown doesna�?t control the bezel, but rather the bright orange triangle seen at 12. Hey guys - I have looked at a couple of these and can't really feel comfortable buying on since I know nothing about the mechanics of the watch. The number of moving parts in a watch like this, combined with the vintage factor makes me a little nervous. 5127 Dial Question
Did the 5127 come in only one dial color?I see references to silver/ivory/opaline, yet the pictures are all similar. I did find a comment online that there was, in fact, only one dial color, however, I can't confirm this. Any help would be appreciated. I'm shopping for a 5127J and want to ensure I'm asking the right questions and don't want to be surprised with the dial color. Thanks. LS

Posting in the hope that one day this causes some Karma to come around 😪. Whilst I am here a cautionary tale. In Barcelona this year for Mobile World Congress I was leaving a bar at around 11pm when a two guys appeared and snatched my iPhone (X, brand new). The situation got far worse however when I followed them around the corner and was confronted by 4 others (in hindsight exactly what they wanted). A fight ensued which ended up with me on the ground being kicked to hell and a boot in my wrist being used to then remove my beloved sub. I'd knocked one out and after they disbanded caught another and dragged him to the police, he's in jail now, but no Rolex, and no insurance sadly. Apparently a gang there positions people in bars to watch for target watches and calls them up to attack them as they leave. Seems I was lucky as a German girl attending the show did the same as I and was stabbed a few times. I'm a Barcelona veteran and still got screwed over so look out all.Stolen Ro

DD 40 Pt Dial...
I saw this white dial on a DD 40 Pt at the Rolex Boutique in Shinjuku yesterday and I don't remember seeing one before, though I understand they have been around for some time. Nice watch!
