Union Glashutte Noramis Watch: Poor Man's Chopard L.U.C Slim
Many, many of you want a simple and classic watch versus everything else that is out there. These watches don't have the immediate sex appeal of a lot of the complex or flashy watches that are out there, but instead grow on you like a good friend, instead of grow tiring once it takes you too long to figure out what time it is. This is the Union Glashutte Noramis, and this type of classic watch has just two hands, and a simple and appealing dial. Really just want you need to have you tell the time, but isn't minimalist in design. Faceted Dauphine hands with an index laden face and soft dial are perfect for that functional classy look that many search for. Here you can have a German Union Glashutte watch, for a good price, that will serve these need. And really, do you want to spend a lot on this?See for example this gold Chopard L.U.C Slim. Sure it is a very pretty watch, but the price is probably over $20,000. It looks great, but is it "THAT" great? Not sure. The Noramis will set you b
Zelos Chroma Hands-On
The last time we encountered Zelos Watches they had just launched their third watch, the Abyss 3000M Bronze on Kickstarter (which was successfully funded and then some). In between dive watch releases, the brand went for something different, the minimal-designed lugless Chroma.SpecsCase: 316L Stainless Steel; also in PVD finishMovement: Miyota 8215, custom PVD plated rose gold rotorDial: Black (also available in cream and skeleton black or skeleton cream)Lume:Lens: SapphireStrap: Crazy Horse LeatherWater Res.: 50MDimensions: 42mmThickness: 11mmLug width: 20mmWarranty: 1 Year International WarrantyPrice: $299CaseThe 42mm round, lugless case is the most noticeable feature of the Chroma. Rather than traditional lugs for the strap the Chroma instead uses hidden lugs on the underside of the round case. (We recently saw this same look with the Uniform Wears M40.) The case height is a respectable 11mm and its textured sides give it the appearance of being made up of several stacked pieces. It
I've lost my mind... Incoming
The mailman dropped this off for me this morning:And what do we have inside? After much back and forth on the 44mm... Finally I've pulled the trigger on one. This was a true impulse purchase - I was offered it at a price I truly could not say no to. It's really big:But from these angles it's not as overwhelming (again maybe I'm deluding myself:)Next order of business is to order a XS strap!
PP Serial Number?
Hi guys, my insurance company is asking for the serial number on my 5960. I assume it's on the certificate of origin? I thought it would be the mouvement number but my insurance say it is not. Can you help? Thanks in advance!
So what have you traded your Rolex for, besides another watch???
I hope this thread catches some attention. I always think , but never have traded or bartered my watch, because I'm the sole owner of only 1 watch. Yep, I'm that guy. But, I always have wondered, what have you traded your watch for, BESIDES another watch? Possibly a car, or cycle, or real estate, or bartered for some work. They say Rolex's are as good as cash, so lets test the theory. Thanks..
