Ceramic Diver pic request + other questions
I am in the market for a used Ceramic Diver and previously posted a question about the relative comfort of the Ceramic vs SS Diver. I owned a SS Diver an liked it a lot but never loved it, however I am convinced I will love the Ceramic version It would really be helpful to see some side-by-side pics of the Ceramic and SS Divers, on or off the wrist. Can anyone help me by posting some?A few other questions. Is it true that the Ceramic Diver was only sold through AP boutiques and not ADs?Will the ROO Rubberclad tapered strap and buckle fit the Diver case and plots?I know there is no right answer to this but ... does anyone think a Diver is too much watch or too out of place as a daily watch in a business casual (i.e. no suit) environment? I love the watch but sometimes wonder if wearing a hulking block of SS or Ceramic that is designed for deep ocean exploration day to day at a desk and around the house is a bit of a poseur move.like driving a Zonda in downtown London (although I wish I
Thoughts on AP Perpetual Calendar Platinum??
Gentlemen and Ladies,Been lurking on the forums for some time, but breaking out with my first post. I've been seriously considering a new (used) AP Perpetual Calendar in platinum. The openworked platy perp is a grail of mine, but still beyond what I want to pay for a watch. A version similar to this link (but not a Muhammed Ali special edition) has come up, but without papers or box. Cert of Origin can be obtained from the manufacture, and seller is willing to obtain it as part of the sale. I love the platinum, love the crystal back, love the perp calendar, but not completely convinced about the textured dial. I know its completely subjective, but what are your thoughts? For reference, current collection includes PP 5980, AP ROO Safari and JLC Master Compressor Chrono - I seem to have gravitated towards chrono sports watches. Part of purchase would involve trading in the current AP ROO for the perp calendar. Also, if the watch is to be sent in to the manufacture for a CoO, wou
Opinions on this Rubber strap for the 233
Have just bought this but am not so sure. Any opinions would be grateful. My bro says it doesn't suit the watch. What does the forum reckon??? Is it a yes or a no.

Does this warranty paperwork match your GMT Master? 16700 SN/U156789
Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place. Mods please relocate if necessary. The other day I bought a 16710 from a private party here in the SF Bay Area. For the past 18 years he assumed that he had the correct warranty papers for the watch but it turns out he didn't. He bought a 1997 16710 in 2000 at Fourtane Jewelers in Carmel Ca but the jeweler gave him Rolex paperwork for a 16700. I'd like to reunite the warranty card with the owner of the 16700 if possible and I'd be happy to mail it to the owner free of charge. Please PM me if this is your missing warranty.Style Number: R16700A30B7879Serial Number: U156789Original owner: Adrian ParraOriginal Purchase Date: 1/23/98While I'm here I might as well post up a photo of my new 16710 :)
