15703st vs 5167A
I think there are several points where these pieces crossroads and several where they diverge. AP Diver/ PP Aquanaut Cross points -Rubber Strap-Entry level (similar price )-Swim adequate -Comfortable to wear-Good Resale (it might be better for PP, don't know)-Great Lumen-Bezels are prone to scratch (not sure if one is more prone than the other)AP Diver/PP Aquanaut diverging points:- One is obviously a Diver with more WR- AP has more weight/wearing presence vs Patek is more elegant- PP has transparent case back to see the movement, AP not- AP has an inner rotating bezel to measure time elapse, PP not- AP has 60 hrs power Reserve vs PP 45 hrs- AP case size is bigger (42X13.8 mm vs 40X9 mm)Not sure about replacement rubber price but I think Patek strap might be cheaper. Also 3120 movement has history of running fast but from what I heard is not an issue anymore. But at the end of the day which one would you take home
Which complicated Nautilus?
I'm on the market for my first Patek. Since I'm a jeans+t-shirt or shorts+t-shirt wearing guy, I'd like to stick to the steel Nautilus line on bracelet. I also believe I can't pull off anything dressy, so a gold watch on a leather strap is not my thing. I'm not a fan of the Aquanaut, and also would like to stay away from the 5712 due to its asymmetrical dial. Also, IMHO Patek is in its strides when it comes to building unique and/or interesting complications. So my choices are the 5726, 5980 and 5990 -- right now. Apart from the obvious best and wisest idea of just wait for the 40th anniversary, since it may bring something even better for you, I'd like to hear your thoughts on the current choices. Please note that currently I d

AP 26400 FC for Patek 5164 ??
Simple proposition is on the table. Would have to add a few K. Would you? Any thoughts would be appreciated. For full disclosure I do have a 5980r and AP diver both of which would stay.I posted the same question over at the AP forum so if you've chimed in there I appreciate it. TIA for all the opinions.
