A. Lange & Sohne 165 Years - Homage To F.A. Lange Collection: Tourbograph "Pour le Merite," Lange 1 Tourbillon, And 1815 Moonphase Watches
Earlier this year A. Lange & Sohne announced a limited edition collection of (even more) decorated watches as homages of the 165th anniversary of their founder, Ferdinand Adolph (F.A.) Lange. In 1845 Mr. Lange moved from Dresden to the nearby small mountain town of Glashutte. As Lange likes to see it, history was then born! The 165 Years - Homage to F.A. Lange Collection includes three watches. They are not new watches per se, but done with unique treatment. Each on a new gold color called "honey gold." More on that in a sec. The watches each have guilloche engraved dials, which is rare for the brand these days.? First is the Tourbograph "Pour le Merite," then the Lange 1 Tourbillon, and finally the quite new 1815 Moonphase watch.Honey gold is a new 'invention' by Lange. It is a novel gold alloy that has a honey color to it. The warm look of the gold is unparalleled. It has a light brass look to it. Plus, it resembles the patina that the German silver (not actually silver) gets on i

5205r
Hi all,I am new to this forum. I am not a collector per-se, but I enjoy having one nice time piece at a time...My previous time piece history goes as follows...Many years ago my first piece was a platinum bezel Rolex Yachtmaster, then I gravitated to a few Panerai for a while with a few different models....then I bought my first AP which was a titanium offshore, followed by a Rose Gold Rubberclad (last series with the updated gold trim sub-dials and I put an RBII strap on it, LOVED that watch) and lastly a chocolate dial Day-Date II. I am between pieces right now and am looking at my next move and am strongly considering a 5205R. I would like to hear everyone's opinion on this piece A. for daily use and B. re-sale value. My dealer has re-assured me 5205R with black dial's desirability is strong and values hold well, I got offered by him a brand new sealed black dial with un-dated papers for $38,500. Unfortunately, since it is sealed he does not want to pull it out of the plastics and b
Incoming! PAM 911: "Last one for Paneristi"
Saw the PAM 911 announced on Instagram last week and decided to take a chance on it even though I never saw it in person. The early photos definitely didn't do it justice with most pics making the dial look bright green. Photographing this watch is tough and its hard to get a really good feel for it unless you see it in person. In the steel, the watch is a stunner and the dial is more of a dark camo/military type green. Its color is subtle and changes between green and grey depending on the lighting.Big thank you to Khalil at Panerai Central and Julie at the Costa Mesa Panerai boutique for making it happen. Now for some pics!
Rolex GMT Master II BLNR - Small Wrists?
Hi Rolex forum members!I am of skinny build and have quite small wrists (14.5cm or 5.75 inches). I am also a huge fan of the GMT Master II BLNR, but am unsure about whether the watch's bracelet will wrap firmly around my small wrist. I have been unable to fully test this out at my local Rolex AD as all the watches on display always have a majority of the links in-tact.Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
