Introducing: Roger Dubuis Announces The Hommage Millsime Pocket Watches, A Series Of One Of A Kind Timepieces
Roger Dubuis has just shared with us the beginning of a most interesting project and one that will undoubtedly attract a good deal of attention, as well as, perhaps, a bit of controversy. This is the Hommage Millésime project. The name means, approximately, Vintage Homage, and the idea is to take very high grade and complicated movement ébauches – generally from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, when classical watch construction and finishing techniques really reached their pinnacle before beginning to be supplanted by machine and automated manufacturing and finishing tools – and to use them as the basis for making watches that reflect both the heritage of Roger Dubuis and the personal history of Mr. Roger Dubuis. 1 OF 4 Roger Dubuis himself is a watchmaker who began his professional life working in the restoration of rare and often very complicated vintage clocks and watches, and restoration remains a key aspect of his overall views on the

Two 18k gold mens Omega, need help to identify
Hi there,I've been trying to identify two Men's 18k Gold Watches around 1980 that are in family possession. The white gold one is a de ville automatic and nothing is engraved on the back of the case. The gold one has Quartz and 1430 engraved on the back.I tried to look them up in the omega database but I either didn't find the right picture or there was no picture to compare it to.I'm looking for a name, description..Thanks very much for any help.
New member, thought I'd say hi.
Hello TRF Omega forum,I posted a intro over in the New Members forum but thought I'd drop in here and say hi as I am primarily a fan of vintage (and modern) Omega. Here is my humble collection with a few bits of Omega merch (old and new) I've acquired over the years:Here is my most recent addition a 1971 Seamaster 200m pilot line which has just returned from Omega Bienne. It came complete with box and papers, a lovely find. My flightmaster (also from 1971) is the jewel in my collection and gets plently of wear.Anyway it seems a great forum you have here and I look forward to droping in from time to time.Regards,Zac
Nautilus and impossible waitlist / Tokyo / Hong Kong a possibility?
So I tried a few AD in London - not a single one would take you on the waiting list for 5711 or 5712. Went into all the central London stores plus the PP salon. I phoned 5-6 in UK outside London - sames story. As I am Italian - I also contacted 5-6 AD in Italy - outside the big cities - same stories - no one takes you on the waiting list.Considering a pre-owned one - although prices are crazy high ... Visiting Hong Kong and Tokyo - wonder if it is cheaper there? Would they have better priced pre-owned? I assume impossible waitlists in those countries too? Thanks for your thoughts...M
