H. Moser Perpetual 1 Takes Top Award
H. Moser’s Perpetual 1 collected one of Germany’s most prestigious awards when more than 10,000 enthusiasts voted it the winner of the Goldene Unruh (Golden Balance) in the category for watches priced above 25,000 euros. The award is presented by WatchTime’s sister publication Uhren Magazin in partnership with the popular German magazine Focus. Ten watches in each of 5 price categories are presented and the winners are selected by popular vote by readers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Aryta Tesla Squelette Quadri Rotor Watch
Let's talk about weird. There is a good weird, and there is certainly bad weird. Which category any particular "weird" falls into it highly subjective. On most accords this watch is weird. I mean look at it? It is unlike almost everything else out there. A one of a kind creation by Yvan Arpa's Artya brand, this watch belongs to the "Coup de foudre" collection which is an ongoing series of watches that have "lightning struck" cases - hence the "Tesla" part of the name. Basically, Yvan's shop employs the use of a large Tesla coil array. Electricity (which is basically lightning) travels between the two coils and the watch case is stuck in the middle. These pieces undergo wild transformative effects aided by artists who help engrave and colorize the metal. A lot of the cases that undergo this treatment are unusable, but the ones that survive are pretty interesting. Again, "interesting" if you can follow suit with that type of thing.Artya employs two teams of people in their workshop. One
AP Travel Cases
I am sure this has been discussed before, but is it possible to purchase the AP leather travel cases similar to the one sold here....rolexforums/showthrea...ight=AP+travelI am also aware of the existance of these as well, but don't know how one obtains one....rolexforums/showthrea...ight=AP+travelI called the NYC and Miami boutiques today, but they are unwilling to sell them. is this the sort of thing where if you go in, and have an AP on your wrist, you might get one? Or does one have to wait for service, which is when, as I understand it, you receive one of these.
New AP Dual Time
Been thinking of reshuffling and came across this yesterday. B/P, the works, H-series. I've temporarily swapped over to an AP Bands option, miss the style and craftmanship of the SS bracelet but the nylon is very comfortable. Either way the watch is spectacular.Beforephoto (7).jpgAnd afterphoto (6).jpg
Sea Dweller 43mm vs Explorer II long term value
This is the first thread I have ever started so please ignore any improper or silly questions. I am also very new to nice watches and really need the opinions and help of those much more knowledgeable and experienced than I am. I have enough saved to buy another watch and am having trouble deciding between the new SD 43mm or the Explorer II 42mm. I have all the technical and price difference so guess my question is simple. I would love to say I will keep this watch forever and pass it down to my son someday, however, I can't say that for sure. In your opinion, which of these watches will hold or increase in value the best in the next 5 or 10 years? Is one a better long term investment than the other. Thanks so much.
