AP 1.5 link - loctite
Hi guysI have received my 1.5 link for the 15202 and the screw inside is impossible to remove. Not sure what AP use to glue the screw but I've tried various ways to heat the damn thing. Anyone else had this issue?Apart from going to the AD, is there any other way to remove the screw? Thanks
Future of 5711/1A production line
Called my local AD earlier today to ask about delivery time, price and availability for the 5711/1A.Was told that they received one (1) last month, that they have at present a white dial one in stock, and that they cannot confirm availability ever again unless they talk to PP.They very politely refused even to accept a reservation with immediate deposit paid unless they first confirm with PP that the specific model will continue to be produced. They stressed that with the Basel 2014 show coming up, they do not know at all if they will receive again the specific piece. Sounds very strange to me, this is a relatively basic but highly elegant and a unique design of the brand...They asked me to call again next week in order to confirm future availability. Was provided a (very good) price, so keeping fingers crossed that Patek will keep this beauty in the lineup hopefully in a couple of months I can have one (considered gold versions but they are quite flashy for my daily work environment).
My 359 is unwell
I had to leave my 359 at the Panerai boutique yesterday because it's not very well. I've only worn it twice since picking it up; I rotate my watches usually for a week at a time and set them for the week on a Sunday night (it wasn't the 359's turn but I wanted to wear it again). The second time I went to wear it a few weeks ago after we came back from a short trip, it kept stopping three seconds (literally) after I set the time. I got it going on the Monday morning and never worried after that but I messaged my man at the boutique as a precaution and he said to bring it in. I never had a chance to take it in that week because I was horrifically busy at work and then then had to fly down to Brisbane. I took it in yesterday and it had run down because I've been away for a week. He wound it and then set it and it stopped on two consecutive occasions. Then when he managed to get it going, it was running slow. Needless to say, he's absolutely mortified and is taking it personally. Obviously
