15400 vs 15710 movements ?
So I thought I was set on the 15400 black dial version until I looked through the 160 page show your AP thread. Noticed quite a few people had the 15710 on a bracelet and that got me thinking do I want the diver instead. So was talking to my friend on the phone today he had a 15300 a few years ago and said he had a really bad experience, he had the watch for 4-5 years put it in for a service and ended up with a 3000 bill and he said he believes the movements on the 15300/15400 don't hold up very well because AP insists on using ultra thin movements and they don't last as long.Just wanted to ask what people think about this if it's true or a lot of rubbish? Also what's the 15710 movement like is that ultra thin as well ?To be honest I don't know anything about movements just like to buy watches that look nice to me, so I look forward to your replies.

Nothing like a Panerai
About 15 years ago, I was leafing through a Magazine and saw a model wearing a Panerai Radiomir. I had no idea at the time what it was, but I was absolutely smitten with this watch.Fast forward, I have owned about a half dozen Panerai, and currently own 3.Panerai experienced some wild fanfare several years ago, and much of that has cooled. Many of the older classics are highly sought after, and prices have come back to a more realistic and obtainable level. I tend to not follow the pack, so for me, this recent softening of the market is just fine. I really would like to pick up some classics like a 009, 201A, etc etcAnyways, to this day, as much as I enjoy Rolex and many other brands, nothing gives the feeling of a Panerai.Enjoy your weekend!
Rolex owners q for you...what to do on AP RO
So my wife and i were shopping yesterday and she apparently secured herself a nice bag, Birkin. In her happiness, we walked into the AP store. I tried on 3 Royal oaks 2 of them were 15400, and one was a 24xxx with complications. I liked the silver dial 15400. This in not the ultra thin one. She had said I could buy the aP RO 15400 or wait for the daytona c and pepsiQ for you guys...1) would you guys buy the RO2) any views on it holding value?3) do you own and why have you chosen AP.I was also at some point hoping for a nautilus 5711
