Orient Producer Review
It's always fun when a watch takes you by surprise. You know, when you've seen something in pictures, but it didn't really click with you, then you see it in person and you get it. In the metal, as they say, the watch makes sense. Perhaps the detailing is better than expected, perhaps the size and weight just work for you, perhaps it has a subtle charm that can only be found when it's on your wrist. This was the case for me and the Orient Producer.Immediately, since it's an Orient I know it's going to be a great value and decently made, especially at the price for a mechanical. But, the look isn't really one that I find inherently appealing. I'm not huge on rectangular watches (though the Orient Masquerade I had was very cool) or open-heart dials. Rough Valuation
After viewing Jockes conversion in the rolex discussions, it got me thinking that I haven't worn this watch for nearly 20 years, I bought it used around 22 years ago and had it serviced about 12 months ago as it wasn't running properly ( not surprising really) the chap who serviced it said it was worth a few hundred pounds, I think I'm going to either sell it or part exchange it for more of a sports watch which I know I'll wear. Would appreciate an idea of valuation or even a model type or No.ThanksPhil
Independent watchmaker for Omega service?
Any less expensive options for Omega service out there?
Who has better lume Omega or Marathon?
I'm looking very seriously at pulling the trigger on a Marathon SAR as I'd like a seriously rugged dive watch with very good lume. I've had a 2254.50 omega and was thrilled with the lume. I'm a bit dissapointed with the lume on my Sub Date. How does marathon stack up?Thanks Guys
Alligator Band and Moisture.
Hey y'all, I just purchased a Pam 104 liar week and it comes with the alligator band as well as the rubber one. Can I get the alligator one wet? Seems like it's not a good idea but having the waterproof watch with a band that's not is a little concerning.
