Joined the Royal Oak Club
I have to thank George and Alaina at Govberg Jewelers for the awesome customer service and giving me some Royal Oak love! I was in SF the previous week, and made the mistake of trying the Royal Oak on. Once it was on my wrist, I knew I had to have it. The person I dealt with in SF was kind of an arrogant a$$ and made me feel I was wasting his time by asking him questions. So I made a call to George, and was able to work out a trade plus cash to acquire my grail! I received the Royal Oak on Wednesday, and I just can't stop looking at it. The fit, finish, and quality of the watch is at a whole other level. I didn't realize how dangerous it was to own an AP, now I want a Forged Carbon diver for something a little more sporty. LOL Well on to the pics.
1st AP question.. 15300 blue dial VS ROC panda dial?
Hi allIt's me again, now I'm very close to get my first.I was waiting for the ROC panda dial and about to get it next week but then the 15300 deal pop up!I know that at the end of the day it's really is up to me yet I would be appreciate any input from you all.I really like the 39mm Royal Oak case.I love the sporty look of the ROC.On the other hand, the classic yet some how sporty of the 15300 is also quite nice and more importand it's discontinued already which mean it will be harder to get later on...Which one would you choose?Thank you in advance :thumbup:Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
Crazy thought?
There are a few watches that keep singing to me, one of which is the 5235g. However, I still really love my 5712/1a (my first Patek, which has some meaning to me) and find my 5167ss to be extremely comfortable and versatile. With that in mind, and in keeping with the a smaller collection is better trend (for some, not all! --- and for what it's worth, I'm on that bandwagon as I just sold my JLC AMVOX5 and BP 50 Fathoms Aqua Lung edition, so I'm down to 4 watches): What are your thoughts about trading a 5712/1a and a 5167ss for a 5235g? There may be some $$ owed/received after the trade (?)... The other watches in the collection are a SDc and a Date Just (stainless, circa 2006), of which the latter really doesn't get much wrist time, but has sentimental value so it's a keeper. Appreciate your feedback.
Day Date 2 glacier blue dial with SILVER romans
Love all of the DD2 platinum glacier blue models with the blue romans (and concentric circles) but does anyone have the model with glacier blue dial and silver romans?Thks
Ad was told by Rolex to take plastic stickers off
I just bought The Hulk recently and was told by AD that Rolex requires all plastic stickers taken out before leaving the shop to avoid potential resales. Is it true or is it just BS from AD?
