Yesterday Sotheby's New York held its Important Watches and Clocks sale at their Upper East Side headquarters. The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the record-setting sale of the Duc D'Orl��ans Breguet Sympathique clock from 1835, a stunning clock with a docking pocket watch - yes, a docking pocket watch.Just looking at the Duc D'Orl��ans, you can tell you're staring at something impressive. The case is decorated with beautiful ormolu-mounted red tortoise shell, it stands at nearly two feet tall, and the amount of gold sculpture is staggering. Omega Seamaster Professional Bracelet Compatibility Question (1610/930)
Hi all, apologies in advance for a potential noob question...my excuse is that I primarily enjoy Rolex but currently have an Omega bracelet I'm selling so am in unfamiliar territory, :)In any case, the bracelet I have is a Seamaster Professional Speedy style bracelet (1610/930). Will this fit a Seamaster 2533.50.00? I've done some research and can't find a definitive answer so hoping the experts/enthusiasts here who have much more knowledge on Omega can confirm for me.Thanks in advance and apologies again in advance if this is a dumb question.

Righting a wrong from 1997...
I started my horological journey in 1997 one year out of school and securing a decent job. At the end of one year of employment, I wanted to mark the occasion with my first real watch purchase. Mind you, at that time, I was only aware of Rolex and Omega having coming from a family where majority of my elders were wearing vintage Omegas. I didn't really know what I am doing and insisted on getting a piece with an automatic movement, using Rolex as the guide for a major watch purchase. At the time, I didn't think I was quite Rolex material (great marketing) and wanted something different. Looked all over the store and settled on this piece at a good price point. This to me at the time was a large purchase. Omega Speedmaster Automatic at 39mm with the jeweled Dubois-D��praz 2020 chronograph module on a jeweled ETA 2890-A2 movement.
