INVITE: The World's Most Expensive Watches Book Launch Party In Los Angeles
On November 14th, 2014, I personally invite you to join myself and fellow watch lovers in participation with sponsor Hublot to celebrate the launch of my debut book The World's Most Expensive Watches here in Los Angeles at the historic and very trendy Chateau Marmont Hotel at 8pm in the evening.Space is limited, and since the event is coming soon, you'll need to RSVP by November 10th. The party will take place at a private suite with terrace at the Chateau Marmont hotel in West Hollywood, where guests will eat, drink, talk watches, and enjoy a private signing event with myself for The World's Most Expensive Watches book. Guests will enjoy a copy of the book as a special gift - even if you happen to already have one. Quantities are, however, limited and the books will come with a special note by Hublot Chairman and Head of Watches at LVMH, Mr. Jean-Claude Biver.Once again, The World's Most Expensive Watches book launch party will be from 8-10pm on November 14th at:Chateau Marmont8221 Su
What's The Favorite Watch Of Christie's Watch Department Boss?
William (left) with Christie's International Watch Department Head Aurel Bacs (right)& A Patek Philippe Ref. 2499 (middle)Christie's, the renowned auction house, will have yet another "Important Watches" auction event in Geneva on November 11, 2013. Here in New York, I personally received a special preview. I was excited when my good friend, John Reardon (Senior Vice-President, Head of Christie's New York Watch Department), invited me to today's preview event. From past experience, I knew that I would have the chance to see and touch some of the world's finest timepieces which once again equates to a lot of Patek Philippes and Rolexes. While taking in the watches (more on that later) John introduced me to Aurel Bacs, the Head of Christie's International Watch Department. Known throughout the watch world for his discerning eye, I had to ask about his favorite watch. When a man is surrounded by millions of dollars of spectacular watches all day, every day- what gets him excited?Patek

New policy to remove the films by Rolex AD
Since July first this year, when you purchase a new Rolex from ADs in Japan, along with the nice green box, green tag and manual you will also receive this message from Rolex Japan telling that if Rolex finds out you are a flipper or tenbai in Japanese term, your name will be blacklisted and Rolex Japan will not sell watches to that individual. Is this happening in other countries as well? The ADs also size your new Rolex as they take off the protection films to avoid being sold to grey dealers.
