Introducing the Bulgari Octo Finissimo Tourbillon, The Thinnest Tourbillon Ever Created
The new Bulgari Octo Finissimo Tourbillon is thin, really thin. In fact, this watch houses the thinnest movement with a flying tourbillon ever created – coming in at just 1.95mm. That's around the thickness of a nickel (think about that for a moment). The movement, with 249 components, was designed first around the tourbillon cage, which determined the final thickness (or thinness). It's a remarkable feat of engineering and design that no watch enthusiast can ignore.Every millimeter counts when designing a watch of this profound thinness. To save more space, the regulator assembly was removed, with timing adjustments now made directly on the balance wheel. The barrel is stabilized and guided by three ball bearings, a design solution that also allowed the hairspring to be doubled, resulting in an impressive power reserve of 55 hours for a watch of this size. 2 OF 2 The new Bulgari calibre is just 1.95mm thick. Hands-On: With The Patek Philippe 5140R And 5140P, Classic Perpetuals Both With New Dial Options For
While the two big releases for Patek Philippe at Basel World this year both happened to be in stainless steel (the new Nautilus Chrono Travel Time 5990 / Annual Calendar Chrono 5960A), it's worth noting that one of its more understated and elegant, but important, timepieces received two updates. The reference 5140 is Patek's round, traditional perpetual calendar, and this year we saw two brand new dials. It is the follow up to the iconic 3940, which is considered to be one of the most important pieces of Patek's modern history – many consider it, along with the 3970, the first serially produced truly complicated timepiece. Its 20-year reign came to an end in 2006 when Patek showed the 5140, which would use the same ultra-thin, self-winding, micro-rotor-powered caliber 240Q. Since then, the 5140 has been shown in white gold, yellow gold, rose gold with brown dial, and platinum with a blue dial. 2 OF 4 The platinum case with a galvanized black dial features
My YG 15450 finally arrived yesterday but......
But I got a call on the same day from a local dealer that a bnib RG Jumbo 15202or is available for me to purchase tomorrow (Monday) if I want it. What should I do? Flip the YG 15450 to acquire the RG Jumbo or let the Jumbo go?Here are a few comparison pics of the YG 15450 to some of the other pieces in my collection.Sorry for sending so many photos but I thought some of you may be interested in how the 37mm compares to the 39mm and 40mm references in my collection.Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk

Latest Arrival - SOH 46 Bronze
so yeah, my first Breitling is finally here.fancied one of these a couple of years ago in black/black combo because of its clean/simple dial, and thought the 46 was too big and the 38 was too small.anyway, bumped into this BNIB SOH46 Bronze the other week from an AD and the price was too good too miss, so pulled the trigger.... just as well it came on the Ocean Classic bracelet.i think the Bronze bezel/dial combo will be able to balance my current sports watch collection... it'd add more colour to it IMO pix - everyone likes pix, so here they are it came with a bezel protector - Oscar will be proud of me late night indoor wrist shotoutdoor cloudy day wrist shoti have to say - the Ocean Classic Mesh bracelet is very comfortable. it certainly adds abit of weight to the watch, but it is quite wearable overall. Orange is my 2nd fave colour - i am very happy with this purchase and i look forward to spending more time with it
