Aquanaut Travel Time
Since the moment I had the 5650G for the first time on my wrist I fell completely in love with the Aquanaut Travel Time. Such a great complication and such a soft and comfy feeling on the wrist.Have you realized that the 5650G has an applied luminescent hour marker at 6.00, whereas the 5164 hasn't?Additionally it seems that the 5650G has a thinner bezel than the 5164. Can anybody confirm this or is this just an optical illusion? I wonder if Patek will release a blue dial 5164G soon and if yes which layout they will use...
Patek 5231?
Will Patek create a 5231 as the next enamel dial World Timer once the 5130 line is fully discontinued? Any thoughts?
Will the Jack Nicklaus Day Date fetch more than the Paul Newman Daytona
Would love to get your thoughts. Here is a clip of the news story posted on Barron's website. On Thursday, a three-colored Rolex Daytona that the late Paul Newman owned for roughly 15 years was sold for $17.8 million, a record-breaking price for a wristwatch at auction. So what's the next watch owned by an icon that could fetch millions of dollars?Industry observers are casting an eye at Jack Nicklaus' gold Rolex Day-Date, a watch the retired golfer has worn since he received it in 1967.Nicklaus has stated that he plans to sell the watch at auction, with the proceeds going to his favorite charity, the Nicklaus Children's Health Care Foundation. The foundation, which Nicklaus started in 2004, provides families with access to world-class pediatric health care.
Shall next one be A Red SD?
Dear All, Greeting from Thailand :-) I'm started my little collection of 4 watches (Datejust II Two tone slate green roman, Sub No date, Sub Green HULK, GMT MasterII BLNR) in past 3 years. I wondered is it a good idea to get the RED SD for my next purchase or shall I stop here. Temptation never ends 5555. Please give advice. For your information I got all from retail AD price (pairing condition ofcourse.). HULK paired with the TT DatejustII. BLNR paired with my cousin DATEJUSTII SS. AD managed to allow me to get SUB ND without pairing condition. If I'm going to get the RED SD retail price I must buy another Rolex watch too to pair up the condition of purchase which I don't have any watch I wanted. Thank you in advance for your advices.
