Initial Impressions: Maratac Pilot Watch

I'm adding a speedy to my humble Rolex collection. 3750.50 is a legend and you can clean the scratches off the crystal. But I hear the sapphire crystal is more practical?!

After searching for such a long time this as new 2007 5110p is finally mine my very first Patek also my dream watch. It is stunning the guilloche dial , the blue the silver combination, diamond at 6oclock, beautiful movement through sapphire caseback, 24 time zones , so easy to read and use I am totally amazed and a very happy man today. Okay, so now that things have quietened down just a bit since Basel, I decided to post my thoughts on this controversial pilots watch (and I use the term loosely) hereHow do people seriously feel about this attempt from PP?

Just picked up - may actually keep this one...
Had an opportunity to grab a nice 5100R 10-day a few days ago, and while I was skeptical of the size, I really liked the history behind the piece, the slate-grey dial, and a 10-day PR. Plus, once I actually put it on, the size wasn't so bad. The watch is narrow, but tall - and fairly heavy. Besides - how often will you actually be able to get your hands on a 1 of 750 Patek? Sorry for crappy iphone pic, I'll snap a few better ones when I have a minute away from work and kids :)
