w&w Round-Table #14: What Were your Most and Least Favorite Pieces from Baselworld this Year?
With our Baselworld 2016 coverage coming to an end (there still might be a couple of pieces left to write) we figured we'd sum up the event with one of our Round-Tables. The question is simple: "What were your most and least favorite pieces from Baselworld this year?” Looking back, I'm actually very impressed by this year's offering. At Basel, it felt a little slower and quieter than previous years, but the brands that we like almost all had a few very strong pieces. Of course, they can't all be winners, but keep in mind the answers below are purely our subjective opinions on the watches and not "reviews" of them. Let us know what you’re most and least favorites were in the comments, and enjoy!Christoph McNeillWell, with each year’s Baselworld, there’s lots to like, and plenty to dislike. There were several new releases this year that I liked, so picking my favorite was a little hard. So I’ll cheat a little by saying that it came down to either the new Squ
Omega Leather
Has anyone bought any of the leather products that Omega sells? I bought a wallet, and I'm extremely happy with it. The messenger bag is quite a bit, and I can't convince myself yet that its worth it. Wanted to know what others thought.
Its not what you know, its who you know!
Looks what happens when you mention a certain members name from this forum to a particular AD in London while visiting them. From asking tongue in cheek, what was the availability of a 5167A, and being informed about 2 months. To then receiving an email only hours later, that one was on its way from Geneva and would be here within the week. Thanks Brian:thumbs:Who incidentally was totally unaware, until I contacted him a few days ago.I am looking forward very much to collecting it in a couple of weeks.
Aquanaut and/or Nautilus size
Looking to possibly add a Patek to the collection, but I like watches in the 42 to 44mm range. The Aquanaut is listed at 40mm and I haven't had a chance to try one on yet. I like the bracelet option. I sold my Daytona a while back as it wore very small for a 40mm. How would you compare the size of the Aquanaut to a Daytona, GMTIIc, or even a 42mm Exp II, which is really my sweet spot. The Nautilus is the same size I think? I'm open to other options as well, but I like a date function and don't want to go over $22k. Thanks!
Feels like Christmas morning!!
Hello all here at TRF! I after a long visit to the Spa at the Henri Stern Watch Agency, my 5960P is now back at home and once again on my wrist. Although the service lasted over 8 month, they really did a superb job. Cosmetically it looks fantastic and there is a lot of piece of mind knowing that mechanically it is as good as new again.Anyway, here is a photo of the finished product!ImageUploadedByTapatalk1399052682.839364.jpg
