ROC Lume Longevitiy
Hello,How long does the lume coating typically last on the ROC? Is it reasonable to expect the lume to continue absorbing light after a few years? Thanks!
I lost my freakin' mind...
This story is going to make you guys laugh at me. I might as well be the fool of the week. Couple of weeks ago, I had a thread posted regarding whether I should sell/trade my 2201.50 PO and 3570.50 Speedy Pro for the Rolex GMT II Master Ceramic. I knew I shouldn't flip these watches because they meant a lot to me. I KNEW I SHOULDN'T HAVE!So, I went ahead and sold both of them. With a big wad of cash, I went on the hunt for my GMT. I had the money to buy a pre-owned GMT. Except for some odd reason, I kept going into the Omega section of rolexforums and watchuseek. All these threads started popping up with people with their Speedy Pro. I said to myself, WHAT HAVE I DONE? I definitely learned something from this ordeal. Do not sell watches out of wanting something else because in the end, you are going to regret it. I just bought a brand new Speedy Pro and it is headed my way. The leftover money is going to be watch piggy bank for either the new PO coming out next year or the
5565a - Thoughts (part two)
Ok - so I also came across this 5565a. Again the first I have seen of this watch. And I have to say I like it. A lot. Apparently it was a special edition to commemorate the reopening of the Geneva salon. It's 36mm which isn't overly small in my opinion. The dial is simple yet elegant with a sporty flair. I have not heard it mentioned on this site. So again - what does TRF think?
Patek Calatrava ?
Hi AllWhat is your opinion on this watch. I am thinking a Patek Philippe Calatrava, but I cant find out about the ref. number. Any wise guys out there ? :)
Thoughts on precious metal Rolexes.
I love the 228238 and the 116618LN. I have had a 36mm Rolex Day Date that I bought new back in 2001. I paid $20,000 for that watch from an AD. I made the huge mistake of selling it. Now looking back on what they are going for now, even after 16-17 years, they don't really hold their value well. I know my 116040 and 126600 will fair very well over the next 10-20 years, assuming I keep them. What are the forum members thoughts on PM Rolex watches?
