Seamaster GMT Service Feedback From Nesbit's
I would like to inform everyone on the very good service I received from Nesbit's after sending in my 2009 SM GMT 50th Anniv. for its first service. The watch had slowly started to act up over the last year where the reserve power would drop off more and more along with other indications showing I needed to have it serviced. Because it was my daily watch and I liked it so much I wore it longer than I should have. I finally decided to put it in the drawer to force myself from making it worse and to also save up the cash for the service (it's part of how we budget things in our home). I checked a number of posts to see the experience folks were having across the country at different shops. After two months of saving and researching, I sent out a couple emails to prospective shops. Her initial estimate was 30 days so I was quite surprised when she indicated the watch would be finished early at app
Christmas Comes Early!
My wife and I had to do a little holiday shopping this weekend so we braved the mall on Saturday. I expected a twenty minute drive around the parking lot but as I pulled around the main entrance, someone backed out of the first spot and we got A-List Hollywood parking. Shoulda known something good was about to happen. So we're wandering around picking up gifts and swing by the local Rolex/Omega dealer, which we do probably twice a month. Let me preface this part by saying I've been keeping my eye out for White Dial Omega GMT which was discontinued awhile back..it's one of my absolute favorites. I've been checking Bernard's website every week but he never seems to get one. Well the dealer just received one from their main office that morning.as a closeout. MSRP was $2395 and the lady quoted an extra 20% off for that day. As I'm thinking about snatching it up for a little less than $2k, she's hitting buttons on the calculator and says So as a closeout it's 40% off and
My Simona straps arrived.
Hands down, some of the best straps I've come across. Wanted the desert T-rex but I already have a similar looking JV strap. Cheers.
