Baume & Mercier Clifton Chronograph Watches For 2014
When a brand such as Baume & Mercier says they're digging into their archives for new watches, you can't be quite sure what you might see. As one of the seven oldest watch brands, they've got quite an assortment of inspiration to draw from. This latest batch of vintage-inspired pieces will expand the Clifton collection that we saw introduced earlier this year.Drawing from what's labeled as the "golden era" of the 1950s, these new automatic Clifton chronographs will be formally introduced at SIHH in January. Intrinsically, the three are mechanically the same - 43mm stainless steel case, ETA 7750 movement (decorated and visible through the case back), sapphire crystals, and a 50m WR rating, to mention some of the highlights. AP straps in Bangkok
Having holiday in BKK with my family. Found some nice straps in MBK for my new Pam. Did not manage to see any nice straps for AP though. I was actually looking for a strap for my 44mm ROO SS. Something which looks similar to the carbon Fiber strap with red stitching from AP Bands. Anyone know of any shops in BKK which have good selection of straps for AP?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

New Arrival (LHD Diver Content)
​I ​was unsure of the size​ of this one​ at first​, 43mm and a hair tall. I went into a local AD as​ I had been eying up ​this one and ​the chrono black bay​. The chrono I passed on as it was a bit too blingy for my tastes​ (I could never get on with the black bay's extra shiny hands and lume plots, they lack the 'depth' of the older rolex white gold surrounds). Also the snowflake hands over subdials seemed like a careless oversight, from a functional point of view. ​I opted for the LHD. I'm not of the camp that calls it a faux patina watch as I think that was not the point, rather the warmer looking lume plots make the watch a little less 'sharp' or edgy and fit nicely with the red pelagos text and beige date wheel. All in all a very well designed and executed watch with some unusual and interesting appointments. It's also very comfortable to wear.​ Keeper? Time will tell...

Reputable London dealers to sell my Rolex at.
Hi, a bit of a strange question but here goes.I have an opportunity to get a DSSD at a very good price, unfortunately I am a bit short of funds. I am looking at selling my Milgauss GV to seal the deal. Any places in London to sell it at a fair price ? As it's a spur of the moment sell, so no box or papers.Looked at Goldsmiths, but they appear a bit short of my expectations price wise. One Knightsbridge watch trader looked ok and they replied to my email with a fair offer, any other places I should try as well or avoid ? I tried internet searching but there appear to be dozens of second hand watch traders in London and I don't know which are ok or who I should avoid at all costs.If this breaks Forum rules / etiquette please PM me any details rather than post a reply.Best,Peter
