Linde Werdelin Land Instrument Watch: Personal Sensorship
Recently, watches-dealerwatches-dealer covered the Nokia Eco Sensor Concept, a conceptual device brimming with sensors, connectivity and functionality. The highlight of the Nokia Eco Sensor was it's ability to monitor one's surroundings and convert that information into something relevant to the wearer's health (i.e. "warning high levels of carbon dioxide detected!"). The Nokia Eco Sensor though very interesting, was still just a concept, as there was no working model. The Linde Werdelin Land Instrument is no mere concept, and it delivers a heap of promised features. The Linde Werdelin Land Instrument is part of Linde Werdelin's Biformeter (silly to pronounce) line of products, and is designed for skiing and cold weather mountain climbing and exploration. Excursions which scale tall cold environs require a good deal of environmental measuring to ensure human survivability. In extremely cold temperature, body parts can freeze in moments when exposed to the air. Further, one must monitor
Omega Seamaster help!!!!
Hi everyone... got some questions about a Seamaster.I have included the picture below... sorry, I don't have an individual pic of the omega right now. Its the one all the way to the right.Q1: Does anyone know if the manual winding have any restrictions? Like how many times can I wind it with out breaking it? I have checked the inside, and everything is very clean and fine. Q2: Does anyone know where I can get a new band? its a very unique bracelete IMO. I haven't really seen any aftermarket bracelete for this watch. Any pictures are welcome!!!Q3: Does anyone know what the best way to clean the case would be? I tried to wash it with detergent, but it still has a lot of dark spots. Thanks for any input!!
Need Advice on Selling My Pam359
Hey guys,Back in 2011, I received so much advice on this site during the time I was looking to purchase my first luxury watch. I had narrowed my choices down to Panerai, Breitling and Rolex. I ultimately decided on the Panerai and fell in love with the 359. I purchased my watch in November of 2011, brand new from an authorized dealer in Ohio. I have recently run into some financial difficulties that may require me to unload my Panerai. I have probably worn my watch a total of 10 times over the years, so it has very little mileage on it. It is in flawless condition. I have both original straps. I have never worn the black leather strap, only the rubber one. I have all the original paperwork, including receipts, tags, boxes, etc. I am so afraid of not getting something remotely close to what I paid for the watch, as well as being scammed.I am a lawyer in DC and would welcome face to face dealings. With all that being said, I was wondering:1. What do you guys think is a fair pri
Daytona 116520 Series Question
I'm a bit of a noob in terms of the 116520 variations. I understand there are differences from production years (dial variation, lume, clasp, rehaut, fat hands, etc).My question would be for you experts, in general which year is most/least sought after?Thank you.
Ticking
Although I have had my GMT II LN for almost a month it was only today that I thought to listen to the ticking sound it makes. The sound is a higher pitched, almost metallic sound compared to what other watch ticks I have ever heard before. Not at all loud, actually quite subtle, but very distinct. What does your watch sound like?
