ORIS Watches at The Reno Air Show 2013
ORIS Air Racing III Limited Edition Watch for 2013While I am a huge fan of pilot watches, and certainly of flying as an efficient and economical form of transportation, when ORIS invited me to attend the Reno Air Races in Nevada, I had a small pause due to a terrible accident there a few years ago and also the fact that Breitling has been historically such a huge sponsor of this event. Oris also produced a Reno Air Racing Limited Edition III watch for the 2013 event. However, after looking into the safety measures taken since and most importantly learning a bit about the brand via the Internet, my decision was clear. This could be fun, and give me an opportunity to learn more about the brand, as a few times ORIS has come up in comments on this site especially when I reviewed diving watches such as the?Sinn U1. And, most importantly, this was for me an opportunity to find out if ORIS lives up to its simple motto: real watches, for real people.ORIS' Plane the Scarlet ScreamerORIS has an i
Watch Shopping In Japan: Three F.P.Journe Boutique Exclusives In Tokyo, Including A Tourbillon Souve
I'm generally quick to answer when people ask me to name my favorite modern watch brands; without hesitation, the list includes F.P.Journe. This is not to say that I'm a fan of everything the brand produces, but I admire the way the manufacture applies a certainly polarizing and idiosyncratic design language consistently to every model in its range, from the most exclusive models to its entry-level pieces.More than one collector I have met has described F.P.Journe watches as "poetic" in both design and engineering, including a particularly memorable collector who, over glasses of rosé in the courtyard of the 14th-century Swiss château he of course redesigned himself, waxed lyrically about the peerless way the brand balances "technology and poetry" in its designs. (Bear in mind that this was during an event sponsored by another watch manufacture, but this was of no concern to him considering the elegant Resonance he sported on his wrist.)So, need
When you can't afford a daytona
theres always these panda dial speedmasters. Best part is that they are even much rarer than vintage daytonas. Real sleepers in my opinion.Got mine this morning. Really happy with it.
Crossing the busy plaza, watch stolen of wrist...
Hey guys,Imagine these three scenarios;A. You're strolling across one of the busy plazas in Rome with your girl in one arm and the watch on the other..B. You're walking back to the hotel in downtown Bangkok after a good night out..C. You've been traveling around Kenya and now exploring Nairobi.....when suddenly your watch is stolen off your wrist. Basically, it could happen anywhere.Either way, which of these watches (/or brands) do you think is more likely to be recognised and stolen off your wrist? Rolex (GMT/SUB) or Patek (nautilus/aquanaut)?
Oh wow!!!!.......
Sorry too much work to open it up at the moment.Box1.jpg
