Worn bezel on 2351 Bond - keep it or
Hi gents,I'm thinking on giving my 17 y.o. Bond a refreshed look - what could need most love is the bezel. Its original blue has faded and it gained some scratches in return. As far as I could find out, Omega doesn't sell the bezel insert alone - it sells the whole package - clever guys! . I saw some posts on other forums of some gents replacing the bezel and it really gives the watch another look... What do you think? Does this faded bezel, along the patina that's starting very faintly to show on the dial indexes starts to give this 17 y.o. watch a classic status? Is my Bond going through its coming of age, so I should keep it like that?Or, on the other hand, replacing the bezel by a new one would give it a better, more modern look?
Just Purchased PloProf Clasp for Mesh PO Bracelet
I have been wanting to buy this clasp for two years now but haven't bc of the price, but I just bit the bullet!! It is being shipped now, the pics below are off the web but I'll post my own once the clasp is in. I want to give a shout out to Jim at Continental Jewelers in DC. He is Fr. John's contact and the guy is an absolute pleasure to do business with, I highly recommend him to anyone.
What SS Rolex models can you find at retail?
Curious to see what people can find in their local area or places they have visited recently. For me the Explorer I (almost everywhere), Explorer II (both colors, usually have a black or white if not both), and an Air King (not everywhere but it's not hard to find) are the ones I see. I occasionally see the Deep Sea in Black as well. The blue Milgauss is a bit more uncommon but it can be found but the GV model is pretty much everywhere. The GV doesn't seem to sell all that well as I'll go to the same AD and still see the watch there, while other models rotate as they sell. The Sub was everywhere until fairly recently. I still can't believe that there is a Sub scarcity... Models I've never seen just sitting in an AD are the BLNR, Hulk, SD43 and Daytona (you see the precious metal models everywhere though). Luckily, I've gotten to try all of them as I have a friend who owns a BLNR and another who owns the Hulk. Funny enough, maybe I'm just not paying attention to them, I don't remember s
