Wanna Sell Your Watch? Right Now Could Be The Time
The conventional wisdom is that retailers want to sell you things, not buy your things. It is a bit strange from a consumer perspective to to be "sold" on the idea of "selling" your goods, but that is exactly what is happening in a big way when it comes to luxury watches. An article of mine just got published on Forbeswatches-dealer that discusses how and why companies are looking to buy your watch, and why this is perhaps the most booming area in the watch world today.I don't want to re-write the entire article again here on watches-dealer, but I recommend you check it out if you have any interest in buying watches, selling watches, and the pre-owned watch market overall. I interviewed some key players in the industry who are among those who are heavily investing in getting you to sell them your watch. I'm a lucky boy - again!! (15400 Content)
Well, my significant birthday finally arrived - and so the safe was opened and my darling wife finally allowed me access to the fabulous present she bought for me now almost 6 months ago in preparation for today! It doesn't get much better than this! Enjoying a fabulous trip with my wonderful wife and an amazing new piece to add to the collection - a collection which is actually diminishing as I pare down to just a few really special pieces - a Messi, this wonderful new 15400, an Explorer II , and a Tanatlium Panerai. Not a bad collection I think, and a good place to stick. I'm both a lucky and a happy man.Happy New Year to all!

Rolex ADs in Sydney- first impressions. Advice welcome!
So I’ve been wanting to get a “real” watch for a while and I thought I would finally get around to trying on the different styles I am interested in.I went to three ADs in Sydney- J Farren-Price, The Hour Glass and Swiss Concept (in that order). The service at the first two dealers were superior to the last one I visited. I felt the women who served me more more professional and more approachable than the last guy (you can pm me if you would like names). Additionally, the first two were able to offer me a similar discount, whereas the last place refused any negotiation at all. The watches I looked at were TT lady Date Justs with silver dials and most had diamond markers (pictures below). The prices I got quoted were on the 28mm TT date justs with diamond markers. Only one place (The Hour Glass) still had the 26mm in what I would be interested in. I did try on ones with a pearl dial and diamond markers, but I felt it was not practical as it was more difficult to read th
Please help me choose my first RG Rolex
Hey guys, its time for me to get my first rose gold, need your suggestions, both of these choices are good with me and I really can't decide. Should I go with the 116505 in RG with black dial or the 228235 Day Date RG with the green 60th anniversary dial? Thanks!Sorry could not post any pictures due to minimum posts requirement.
