AP FC versus Ceramic question
So, I recently posted a thread that I've been bitten by the AP bug....and it's getting worse!I already had a 15400 blue dial and just received my AP 42mm Elephant from Takuya this week....and now I'm looking at the 26405CE - HELP!Can those of you who have them provide me with feedback on how the piece wears versus the SS case (e.g. scratching, chips, etc.) as I want an all-arounder that I can wear all the time on weekends/holidays.I actually thought about the FC, but I prefer the dial on the ceramic and have read the FC doesn't take wear-and-tear as well...or am I mistaken?Looking forward to your input/feedback/wisdom!

First AP and First Post
Hi All, this is Andy from Austin, Texas.Firstly, I have been lurking on the forum for a while, hoovering up all the great AP advice on here - so a big thank you.I have been a watch guy all my life, since my mom bought me my first Timex, a diver style watch from a Post Office (I am a Brit) in the UK when I was five years old - I found that watch in a junk drawer when I was moving to Austin 7 years ago, wound it up and it worked perfectly! My son now wears it.I had always been a Rolex guy and bought my first one, an Air King 25 years ago and then traded that for a grey dial DJ and that for a GMT and finally that for a SS black faced Daytona, which I still have.Back in 2008, I purchased a SS PAM 233, which I wore a lot but never really connected with it and have always loved the look of the AP ROO RG models. I tried on both the 42mm and the new 44mm models and on my wrist just preferred the size, symmetry and look of the 42mm model.Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago, I had read great r
Omega PO bezel insert change Question
Hi all,I have been enjoying my new Planet Ocean 8500. However, I would like to change the bezel from black to orange. I don't want to have to send it in for it to be done. Is there any way I could purchase an orange bezel and do it myself. I've seen youtube videos of people changing there bezel inserts by using an ordinary butter knife. Can it be done on the new PO?I would hate to have to send it in and pay a ton more when it could be easier. Of course that's the question. Is it?I know there are a few threads on here that it has been done, but not exactly how. Someone on here took theirs to a local jeweler and they did it. Mine here will not touch Rolex or Omega because they aren't qualified or something. The dealer I purchased from may not either....So does anyone have any advise? Thanks!
