Oris Aquis Depth Gauge Watch
Capillary-style depth gauges are nothing new or particularly advanced, but they are simple and effective. Oris has managed to design one into one of its dive watches. The result is a mechanical watch with a non-electronic depth gauge that does not cost an arm and a leg. IWC and Jager-LeCoultre already proved to us that they can make those - and that is fantastic - but they were a complication for complication's sake because even if you choose to dive with a luxury watch, you probably aren't going to want to rely on it as your depth gauge. When Panerai released theirs, they simply circumvented the entire issue by keeping prices high and sticking in an electronic depth gauge module. In fact, that was pretty smart of them. This new diver is called the Oris Aquis Depth Gauge and is just that. Oris has a load of pretty good dive watches but there are a lot of them and many have seemingly small differences. On top of that, they exist in a few model families which exacerbates my confusion. To help announce the new timepieces was the woman of affairs and Top Model Elle Macpherson
They have recently released their first quarter, Aspen One in Aspen in Colorado (of course). To help announce the new timepieces was the woman of affairs and Top Model Elle Macpherson. A face as its own is enough to attract attention, and better yet, she was there to make a donation of almost $50,000 diamond version of Aspen a quarter of a local non-profit, challenge Aspen and Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club (AVSC).
The Stainless Trinity
I had a great time at the AP boutique yesterday, wonderful experience ogling over a few pieces before deciding on my very first AP.Thanks to all who responded to my previous thread here .rolexforums/showthread.php?t=502077I had contemplated on getting an AP in my upcoming trip to London next week but upon further consideration, I've decided to just get one at home especially since I was dead set on getting a blue dial. Also the 5 years warranty is a bonus, an added peace of mind.Sorry, the photos from my phone do not really do justice to these fine timepieces.A couple of ROOsPurchasing my first but already decided that the either the Navy Blue or the Safari is going to be my next!
Great AT Good Friday... :)
Thanks to Justin, jnelson3097 who recommended me to his trusted AD salesperson who is now also my trusted salesperson. I called and purchased an 38.5 AT with leather wristband. I had to wait almost 5 weeks like Charlie Brown in the mailbox with his head sticking out. It finally arrived yesterday and I haven't stopped smiling since. Surprisingly none of my local ADs or OB has this combo. Thank you, Justin!!!
