Erwin Sattler Thesaurus - Ultimate Watch Lover's Desk
OMG, how did I miss this release last year!? I recently learned about the Erwin Sattler Thesaurus desk, and my horology gland nearly burst. OK, so this is the ultimate watch lover's desk. It combines a pair of Erwin Sattler Rotalis winders that pop out of the surface of the desk " take-over-the-world villain" style, and drawers that store you watch related loot.? I have no idea why it is called the "Thesaurus," but I will need to one help explain how awesome this thing is.Part of what makes it awesome is just how utterly impractical it is. To have enough room in one's home for a desk solely dedicated to their watches takes a lot of dedication (which I guess I personally have), and a lot of (I mean a lot) money. Not only is the Thesaurus likely to be ungodly expensive, but to have enough nice watches to fill it with, and some empty space in your home that is dying for watch dedicated furniture. On the fence...
Hi all,I have been thinking about getting an AP rubberclad for quite some time now. Today , I had the opportunity to try one on, and i wasnt that impressed. Over the last few month i have been marveling at photos and wrist shots, day dreaming of the moment i owned a ROO rubber. I dont really know what is was that turned me off . maybe it was the feel of the rubber strap that felt more like plastic to me . maybe it was the fact that i have been wearing a DSSD everyday now for a couple of months, and in comparison the rubberclad felt like a swatch on my wrist. i dont really know where this post is going so maybe you can guide me somehow. should i abandone my pursuit of an AP and turn my attention to another rolex ( I Probably shouldnt of have posted on an AP forum)? Opinions ? Any other AP references in my price range that might tickle my fancy?Below is a wrist shot. What do you guys think?Sorry for the crappy phone pics, its all i had at that moment.

After the somewhat bitter-sweet happenings in Basel today, let's have a photo of real vintage. No fake patina here
OUT with the reduced, IN with the PRO!
Well, I'm probably not the first nor the last person who went through this :) I posted some photos earlier after I picked up my first speedy reduced (3520.50) it was a beautiful watch but I was very quickly (1month later) finding the Speedy Pro harder and harder to resist. I dealt with a fabulous dealer here named Kirill. Outstanding guy, straight shooter, great communication, the works! (Thanks Kirill) I'm now the new owner of the Pro! Some pics without further delay. After enjoying it on the bracelet for a couple of hours I decided to take a little bit of this beautiful super soft leatherAnd went to workTurned in into thisNow it can look like that! :)
