First Omega... Very impressed!
I received this awesome piece today from trusted seller Mosco. I am very impressed with the watch, how it looks, how it feels and the character. I'm very happy I experimented. Check out a few pics.
Restoration Question?!
Hello TRF!Does anyone know of, or can recommend a decent London or Southern UK based vintage watch restorer?I just found out today that my dad has a 70's Omega and I thought I would take it to a reputable store for a full service/restoration estimate.Obviously it's not a Rolex question although I guess almost anyone who restores Rolex's will also work on Omega's.ThanksPadi editWell if its obviously it's not a Rolex question, why post it in the Rolex watch only forum.???.
Omega warranty transferable?
I am about to pick up a used speedy that was purchased by the original owner around 2008-02. Is the warranty transferable in the case that something happens to it while in my ownership? Also, is it 1 or 2 year warranty that comes with it?
which one next - aquanaut or nautilus?
the DD has moved out to make space for another PP.but which one should take its spot?in consideration are: 5167R, 5164R, 5711R, 5711 white.i am leaning heavily toward the 5711R full bracelet. a certain symmetry in the collection of the 2 APs (SS/YG) + 2 PPs (SS/RG) by virtue of that addition.but will the 15450BA and 5711R be too overlapping - ie, when i feel like wearing a full gold piece, will these two be too redundant?
One for each of us
The wife and I purchased these for each other close enough to Valentine's Day to be gifts for one another. Hers is the 31mm Lady Datejust in pink, Romans with the jubilee bracelet. She wanted something practical enough to wear everyday at work as a full time mom yet wouldn't attract too much attention. She adores her Lady DJ. Mine of course is the 114060 which I had not considered until trying it on. I am a larger individual and felt that 40mm might be too small as I have worn larger watches for years. I tried larger dive/Sub variants and personally felt they were either too thick or just a bit too much for my intended daily wear. My internet heart was set on the Exp2, however when I tried it on in black, for me it was underwhelming(perhaps the Polar would have made a different impression). In the end the 114060 presented the best on me and fit my lifestyle and needs. I especially love the unobstructed symmetry of the no date dial and am truly surprised at just how larg
