Bremont Adds New Models to Its Solo Collection
Bremont launched its Solo collection, inspired by pilots’ watches from the 1940s, in 2011. This year, the line expands with the addition of a new white-dial model, which accompanies the original black-dial version, and a smaller version with a 37-mm diameter case.Like its predecessor, the new white-dial Solo is housed in a 43-mm three-piece steel case, whose design Bremont refers to as “Trip-Tick,” and powered by a modified ETA 2836 movement that the company has named BE-36AE. The movement has been chronometer-certified. The case undergoes a special hardening process at Bremont’s workshop in England that gives it a hardness of over 2,000 Vickers, and renders it seven times more scratch resistant than normal watch-grade steel.Above and below: the new Bremont SoloThe other watch, nicknamed Solo-37, is the smallest timepiece that Bremont has yet produced, and the company sees it appealing primarily to women. Bathys Cesium 133 Atomic Clock Wrist Watch Accurate To A Second Each 1000 Years
It literally makes zero sense from a marketing standpoint that Hawaiian surfer lifestyle watch brand Bathys Hawaii would suddenly work on developing an atomic clock wristwatch (what you see in this post is a working prototype). While a few others are currently in production, Bathys may have beat the rest in terms of actually releasing a working prototype of the world's first atomic clock powered wristwatch, and that is pretty cool. However, most people don't know that Bathys founder Dr. John Patterson was first and foremost a scientist. Now things begin to make sense a bit more sense.Bathys tracked the development of the atomic timekeeping chips that are novel, miniaturized versions of the much larger cesium-based atomic clocks developed in the 1950s. Patterson and engineer George Talbot have succeeded in producing the first watch natively accurate to one se

Planet Ocean 45mm Rubber Strap Question
Wanted to see if anyone could answer a question regarding the PO 8500 45mm lug/strap fit. Will the older style rubber strap that was made for the 2500 PO fit/work? Really prefer that strap with the tang buckle over the newer rubber strap offering and am hoping that with the same 22mm lugs it would work. Any pictures would be help. Thanks
