Summer continues as we offer one lucky reader a Mark Carson Individual Design Hawaii "Ka La" timepiece this month on watches-dealer. Mark Carson designed and assembles each Ka La watch in Hawaii, with their unique design yet classic composure. The case is available in a brushed or PVD black or rose gold finish. Various dial choices include a range of colors and can turn the Ka La into a dress watch with Roman numerals, or a sportier watch with round hour indicators.Inside Mark Carson Ka La watches are Swiss 2824 automatic movements, and the dials have sapphire crystals. Ka La watches are available on a range of straps, and the winner will be able to choose the precise case and strap combination they like. The special made-to-order Ka La with the Koa wood dial is not available as part of the giveaway. Mark Carson Individual Design Hawaii K
Waikiki Boutique
Does anyone have an recent experience with this particular store? I'm leaving for Oahu this weekend and want to check it out. However, we are staying on the opposite side of the island so was planning on climbing Diamond Head in the morning, grabbing lunch at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel then stopping by afterwords. The problem is I'll probably be dressed like a bum since we are hiking in the morning so I'm a bit hesitant of even stopping in if they are going to be rude since I really don't care for any negativity on my vacation. Are the salespeople here friendly and allow shoppers to try on different models? Also, if we end up shopping in Waikiki until dinner does anyone have any good restaurant recommendations?
RubberClad Shower
This is the most watch that I clean, I guess as a true WIS I have dust OCD on my watch.Extra quantity of hand liquid soap and its sparkles like new. Some pictures of the watch bonding.
Speculation on 5970 numbers
Hi Everyone,Seeing that most people would ask their Genie for a 5970, I tried to find out how many were produced.Obviously I know its speculation as Patek does't publish number but I found a thread about this and wonder if many of you would roundly agree of disagee with some of their conclusions......firstwristwatch/patek-1/I...continued.html
Incoming Explorer and thoughts on my journey thus far
Forgive the long-winded post - I think I may have too much free time at my desk this morning...I've nearly reached the end of my self-imposed delay at long last. Later today, I'm headed to the AD to pick up the Explorer they put aside for me nearly three long months ago, and I really do feel like I did at 10 years old on Christmas Eve, before heading to my beloved Grandmother's house for the feast and celebrations and, of course, presents. When I went to the AD back in August to choose which model I wanted, I promised to myself that I would only pick it up as a reward for accomplishing a few important things, some of which needed a little more time, and now I'm finally there. Also, as I outlined in another post somewhere, when it comes to luxury or pleasure-based purchases, I've always really enjoyed the anticipation nearly as much as the possession, so it wasn't too hard for me to make the decision to wait a little. It'll make the experience later this afternoon that much sweeter, aft
