A Small Gift...
Hey all,I turned 21 a couple of weeks ago, and my family very kindly gifted me a watch that any self-respecting WIS should have in their collection. I don't need to tell you guys anything about the watch, but as is custom, pics or it didn't happen This is a cool one, shows how the light distorts through the crystal at angles. One of my favourite things about the watch! An Omega within an OmegaA truly excellent claspAnd finally, the wrist shotThanks for lookingChris
Buying my first Pam.... A 005
I'm taking the plunge and going to buy my first new Panerai...a Pam005. I'm frugal and looking for a good deal. I know a lot of you will say that finding one in stock from an AD is a good deal in itself, but I'm wondering what kind of discount I should expect. The one I've located has been quoted to be for $4900, that's $500 off of the $5400 retail price. Is this a good price for a BNIB from a dealer? Any insight is much appreciated! Thanks!
BLNR in Miami
Hi, I'm new to this forum. I'm trying to locate a BLNR from an AD in the UK however despite being on many waiting lists I'm not to hopeful I'm gonna source one in time for my silver wedding. Everyone I've spoken to here pretty much just giggles and tells me that Id be better hunting for a unicorn!!My wife is headed to Miami for a week in May and I've e-mailed the ADs there to check availability (I'm hoping its better there) but as yet I've not had any replies. Two questions for my stateside friends (or anyone that can help)1. What is the availability like in Miami? Will I be able to walk in to the store and simply buy one?2. What is the retail price? Please include any state sales taxThanks in advance
Advice for picking an "engagement watch"
First off, I just want to say thank you to this forum. I just found it a few days ago, and I have read many threads and feel like I've learned a lot! I would like to buy my boyfriend a watch as an engagement gift. He is new to luxury watches, as am I, though I would love a rose gold Lady DJ. We've looked at some online as well as in a store, and tried some on. The ones we liked the most were:Blue sky dwellerBlue date just 41, diamond indices, jubilee bandTwo-tone Daytona with a white face.He really liked the date just, but I'm afraid the diamonds might make it too dressy for everyday wear. He travels for work, so he would use the 2nd time zone on the sky dweller on most days. The Daytona he liked because he likes things to mess with, and it had lots of action to indulge his ADD. I want to make sure I get him something he can wear on most days, knowing it's more likely to be an heirloom than something resold as an investment. Any men here wear diamonds daily? Any advice on getting a new
