Just for Kicks: 6 Watches That Celebrate Soccer
The so-called “beautiful game” is what we Americans call soccer and what nearly everyone else calls football. Some of the world’s luxury sports-watch makers have gotten in on the excitement, with special-edition watches specially devoted to the sport and its players. Hublot headed by rabid ftbol fan Jean-Claude Biver became official timekeeper for the FIFA World Cup in 2014. Accordingly, the brand used the opportunity to release a plethora of special-edition Hublot World Cup watches. The most technically interesting of these watches is the Hublot Big Bang Unico Bi-Retrograde Chrono, nicknamed the Hublot “Soccer Bang.” Designed to showcase the colors of host country Brazil’s flag, the watch is powered by a new in-house movement, Caliber HUB1260, which features a bi-retrograde chronograph function with the hands recording 15-minute intervals, making it ideal for timing the halves of a soccer match, plus 15 minutes “extra time.” Th
Everest Watch Straps, Sporty Straps For The Active Rolex Owner
So you've just bought a new Rolex. A Submariner Date, perhaps. It's a dive watch, a tool watch, and you want to do what you were meant to do with it: take it to the nearest large body of water, strap it over your wetsuit, and get it wet. 1 OF 4 But you, like most Rolex owners, want to keep the bracelet in as close-to-pristine condition as possible. Enter Everest Horology Products. 2 OF 4 There are dozens – if not many more – aftermarket strap companies, catering to the watch enthusiasts who don't wish to remain married to the straps or bracelets their watches came on. Hodinkee is no exception. But what Everest does is something not many – or, really, any – of these companies do: they have a proprietary solid end link system, which seamlessly integrates the strap to th
Does the 26320 have a monocoque case?
I read somewhere which suggested the change from the 25860 to the 26300 was that the 25860 was a 3 piece case and that the 26300 was a monocoque (1 piece case) Just wondering if this is true and also if the 26320 is a monocoque case? If monocoque suggests that it is made out of one solid block of steel, how can it have a screw on caseback? For those who know about this, please enlighten :)Thanks!

Boutique to open in Roseville Galleria
Stopped by to check out a vacancy in the Westfield Roseville, CA Galleria food court this weekend and noticed a giant orange PO poster that said Omega Boutique coming soon. I know there's at least 2-3 Rolex ADs alone inside that massive maze of a mall so it will be interesting.
