Only Watch 2011 Charity Watch Auction
Each two years we get to enjoy the unique pieces watch brands donate to the Only Watch auction event. Held in Monaco at the Monaco Yacht show in September Only Watch proceeds go to benefit medical research dedicated to fighting Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. The auction part is facilitated by Antiquorum.UPDATE: Click here to see my growing list of all the Only Watch 2011 auction pieces.Starting in the spring, participating brands will slowly start to announce the special watches they are offering to the auction. These are often really exciting to see. The Only Watch rules dictate that all watches donated for auction must be unique. This either means the first piece in a limited edition, or a totally unique watch made specially for the event by a brand. None of the watches have been officially debuted yet, but I do have a list of the participating brands. Getting the Best Watch Deals
I remember back in college when I first started appreciating watches. I began to learn that there were so many watch companies and manufacturers. With prices ranging from $100 to well over $100,000. There are always other they want. Which is not an indication of their lack of interest in their existing collection, but rather a mere function of the fact that like art, each arouses certain emotion in the wear, or at least, has a different function (dressy, sport, diving, bling). So where do you get watches if price is a concern (as it usually is)? eBay of course! My perennial favorite at least. However, it is not as simple as just searching on eBay. The problem become t
Scratched my Panda
Hi all, I have scratched the bezel on my Panda. Its a silver line about 5mm in length. I cannot feel it with my nail but it seems to have polished off the brushed effect and is now shiny silver. Sound familiar ? I had started to think this was just inevitable but having seen some pictures from the forum of other members watches with no scratches I am now thinking I should get this repaired. ( ia m unlucky) I take grate care of it and have no idea how its been done. Please can you advise of the options open to me ?

Well, I just received my 5712r on 12/24 and I already have the first scratch! Oh well, part of ownership I guess. George did send a Patek Collection Book with it! Makes you appreciate ceramic bezels though.
