Patrizzi & Co. NYC Spring Sale Brings $2.7 Million
Patrizzi & Co Auctioneers held its first New York City auction on June 4. The sale included 293 timepieces. Seventy-three percent of the lots sold for a total of more than $2,707,150. More than 50 bidders were present in the auction room, and online bidders participated from Italy, Switzerland, Macao, Portugal, Japan, Dubai, and across the U.S. “We're finding collectors are interested in buying at auction but are more selective in the current economic climate,” said Osvaldo Patrizzi, chairman and chief executive officer of Patrizzi & Co. “Sport watches, particularly from Rolex and Omega, performed well, as did pocket watches and clocks. Some timepieces sold for three to four times their estimate.”Patek Philippe secured the top three places in the sale, with a Ref. 5959P split-seconds chronograph bringing the top price at $260,000. Advice for AP AD in CT
I see in AP's web site there are 2 AP ADs in CT (MANFREDI JEWELS in Greenwich, and ARMSTRONG & ROCKWELL in Hartford,. I am in RI and want to check out some APs in person. Hartford is about an hr and a half, and Greenwich is 2hrs away. Witch dealer has the best stock of different models? If I'm taking a drive, I don't want to go to an AD that has a small selection. Or would I be better off dealing with the hassle and going in to NYC and go to the AP boutique?

The PAM I want....does it exist?
I'm looking for a PAM with the following qualities:-Radiomir with wire lugs-Sandwich dial-47mm-Only hour and minute hands-No date-A manual wind (preferably)Any suggestions?

It used to be that the case size for the Sea-Dweller and the Sea-Dweller Deepsea were markedly different. But now that the Sea-Dweller has jumped from 40mm to 43 �� just 1mm below the Deepsea, could the black Deepsea be at risk of being discontinued? Sure, depth ratings are different for both watches, but the Deepsea is essentially a niche watch, a niche that can be easily filled with the James Cameron.
