Rolex Chronograph & Speedometer For Bloodhound SSC 1000 MPH Car: This Is What A Modern Rolex Dashboard Instrument Looks Like
Rolex used to do stuff like this more often, but over the last decade or so we have seen a lot less implementations of experimental Rolex "instruments" and watches used in special events. The last time we saw anything like this was the production of the Rolex Deepsea Challenge concept dive watch. Rolex, of course, is very happy to attach their name to something they enjoy being associated with (such as racing, golf, and a range of other events), but this is among the rare instances we see an actual Rolex instrument that people cannot purchase, and these are pretty cool.Rolex announced their partnership with the Bloodhound SSC Team in 2011, who are producing a car designed to travel 1,000 mph, and have recently debuted some cool instruments for use in the car. Yes, that is 1,000 miles per hourCfaster than the speed of sound. "SSC" stands for SuperSonic Car and the Bloodhound will compete for the land speed record at the Land Speed Challenge in 2016 at the Hakskeen Pan located in South A
How early would this very early Omega Constellation be?
Hello there,I recently saw an Omega Constellation reference 2648 calibre 352 in a solid 18k gold case with a very low movement serial number (12280xxx) and case number (11000xxx). Both these numbers are the lowest I have seen on a Connie, and I say this after conducting quite a bit of online research, scouring numerous forums and looking at dozens and dozens of photos of 352 movements.Does anyone here know of a Connie with lower serial numbers? Could this watch be one of the earliest Connies in existence? Thanks in advance!
Buckle discomfort .....help me out
So, as my recent posts indicate, I'm new to Panerai. The tang buckle on my 111 is killing my wrist, the inside edge rubs nonstop. Can anyone recommend a deployment buckle that fits the rubber strap? The watch came with a deployment buckle, but it seems way too narrow for the rubber to fit through....or option B, maybe a buckle that is more comfortable. Has anyone else experienced this same complaint?**posted this from my phone, I apologize for the huge picture. ...not sure how to control that**
ADs in Dubai these days - better selection that US?
I have a friend currently in Dubai who has offered to watch hunting for me if I want him to. Does anyone have a recent sense of which ADs have the best selections? I've been staggered by the choice (even though a bit pricier than the US) when I've been there previously but its been a couple of years so no idea what current landscape is like and if extreme shortages of SS daytonas, Hulks etc are the same as in the US. Thanks for any tips!
