Now Make Payments Using Your Wrist Watch
Good news everyone! You can now make payments with your watch, or that is to say, a watch. The LAKS Watch2pay combines a very simple quartz watch with the Mastercard Paypass contact-less payment system to allow you to pay up by placing your watch in close proximity to a vendor's Paypass terminal. Only catch is that the watch looks like this. The LAKS Watch2pay is a 42.7 x 15.5 mm watch featuring an ABS (polymer plastic) case and a silicone strap. The Watch2pay sports an acrylic crystal and is powered by a Seiko-sourced quartz movement with date. Available in a wide range of colors, the Watch2pay is available to UK residents for 99. From a watch nerd standpoint, there isn't much to get excited about as the Watch2pay is essentially just a platform for a small Mastercard Paypass chip that slots into the back of the watch like a?SIM card. We consider this timepiece a good execution of a proof of concept.Mastercard Paypass uses a technology called EMV which is the result of a collaboration
A. Lange & Sohne Limited Edition Tourbograph "Pour le Merite" With Tourbillon And Fusee Chain Available On JamesList
Here is something you don't see everyday. The Toubrograph "Pour le Merite" by Saxony's A. Lange & Sohne was the second watch by the high-class watch maker to bear the "Pour le Merite" badge. The available model is of the rarest, in platinum, with just 51 pieces made. The watch was released in 2005 with an incredible reception. Despite the fact that A. Lange & Sohne watches are often very similar in character, it is the small differences that each new model bears that are intriguing. The watch company defines conservation, when it comes to keeping high-end watch making a purists' art form. The Tourbograph "Pour le Merite" features a world's first combination of desirable complications. It had a one minute tourbillon, a fusee and chain escapement, and a rattrapante chronograph, along with a power reserve indicator. All in a very simple looking, but mechanically complex package. The watch itself has over 1000 parts inside, each carefully finished by hand. The split second or 'rattr

Help in dating a vintage AP royal oak
HelloI have come to acquire an old steel AP royal oak that I have been trying hard to date unsuccessfully. The back of the case simply says No 813 (with no A B or C etc series letter). It has the old vintage full metal folding clasp with the steel inox swiss made embossed on it, and the rare tropical dial that developed over time. However the case is small, around 34 mm with the AP logo at 12 o'clock and not 6, so it is not the first A series jumbo. Any help in dating it and finding out if it is truly a collectible item?I can send pics if it helpsThank you

The latter is a bespoke strap company consisting of an American craftsman living and working in Munich, Germany. As a reminder, here is Travellers thread. His photos are much nicer and detailed than mine!.rolexforums/showthrea...highlight=ammoDangerous 9 straps are made from a variety of animal skins C Gator, Lizard and other exotics plus leathers such as straps made from Swiss Ammunition pouches.dangerous9straps.blogspot/I also have a Teju Lizard strap on the way. I will update this thread once that piece arrives.Note. These straps are not cheapand due to world-wide demand, it can take between 13 to 16 weeks to get a strap.
