Blancpain 500 Fathoms No. 1/1 for Only Watch
For Only Watch 2009, Blancpain has created the unique 500 Fathoms Only Watch No. 1/1. The 48mm diameter 500 Fathoms is water-resistant to 1000 meters. An automatic decompression valve housed inside the brushed titanium case guarantees the watch's security and reliability. The unique anthracite gray dial sports a carbon fiber center. A tinted blue sapphire ring provides a transparent view of the date disc rotating beneath a window at 6 o'clock. The luminescent coating applied to the hour markers, bezel markings and hands, along with the red tip of the central seconds hand, ensure optimal read-off in all circumstances. The easy-grip raised notched unidirectional rotating bezel facilitates handling, while the titanium and scratchproof sapphire crystal bezel is slightly domed to reduce the risk of impacts. The sapphire crystal case-back allows the owner to admire the self-winding Calibre 1315 with its hand-decorated oscillating weight shaped like a boat propeller. Equipe Watches: Commercial For New Brand
New watch brand Equipe get's a commercial. Where it will run I am not sure - on YouTube at the very least. The brand has a number of automotive inspired watches with a "gear-head" fashion twist. Some interesting designs. Check em out if you like what you see.

THREE AP ICONIC WATCHES Meet for Drinks!!!
Last night I met with one of our dear TRF members in Chicago to have a few beers and let our iconic watches meet each other for the first time. I brought a few pieces including my 25721ST.0.1000ST.01 and my 15300ST. Our dear friend brought his gorgeous 25770ST.0.0001KE.01 on a black strap instead of the kevlar one. Something I've always loved about this watch besides the gorgeous kevlar strap is that the case is shaped like the 'End Of Days' and the dial is just like the EOD but in blue and gray. As you probably know, it's almost impossible to see our watches in the wild, let alone having them together at the same time. I've only seen mine twice and his three times in the last 15 years. All I can say is that it was a fun night! Beers were ice cold, pork belly sliders were warm and tasty and the chance to have all these watches together was just priceless. I like his watch so much that I don't know if I'll get a Diver or one like his next. Any thoughts? Do you think mine and his are too
Thinking of Day Date as a Daily
So after watching talking watches with Jack Nickaulas I was inspired on how one watch, a 36mm day date can work as a one and only. I decided to test drive and have worn my 18238 for two weeks straight instead of going through my random rotations. It has been a great two weeks. My DD is definitely my most comfortable watch, despite owning 2 subs with glidelock. Plus it is my favourite aesthetically. I'm starting to think the DD will become my everyday watch. I have no issues with wearing such an expensive watch all the time. There are gold plated Michael Kors everywhere I go, the DD hardly gets a glance. My Sub C will remain for huniting/fishing/beach vacations but I think the DD will become my daily drive. What do you think?
