Jaeger-LeCoultre: Gorgeous New Atmos Clocks
Jaeger-LeCoultre has been producing stunning Atmos clocks for more than 80 years, and at SIHH two new models debuted that continue the tradition. One is a re-edition of a 1930s clock, and the other a contemporary piece in Baccarat crystal designed by Marc Newson. In 1928, the engineer Jean-Lon Reutter devised a clock movement designed to run for several centuries without wearing out or requiring any external intervention. Fascinated by this revolutionary invention, Jaeger-LeCoultre applied its manufacturing capabilities to developing and perfecting the mechanism, and the Atmos clock was born. The Atmos mechanism is a marvel of engineering. It is powered by minute temperature fluctuations. Even a 1 degree Celsius change is enough to provide 48 hours of power reserve. Its annular balance also operates in an amazingly economical manner: by oscillating just two times per minute, its energy consumption is 250 times less than that of a conventional wristwatch. Here is an amazing statistic: i
Rare Retro And 1970s Watches To Be Found On RareWatches.net
We all like good places to get cool stuff. And for many of us, retro watches are very cool things. While undergoing a significant revival as of late, 1970s watches had a very distinct look emphasizing size, geometry, and creative use of contrasting colors. The result of this design ideal yielded many watches that some would argue were "ahead" of their time. That was just the idea however behind these watches as they embraced that period's idea of futurism.Rarewatches.net is one of the uncommon places to buy and sell some of these watches. The UK-based web store has a good selection of rare and interesting watches. At the very least you should know that these watches exist. While not all from the 70s, most of the these watches are a product of that era. There you can find a multitude of offerings from such brands as Sorna, Yerma, and 70s styled watches from many popular watch makers such as Jaeger LeCoultre , Bulova, and Seiko. Wonderful designs that you may have never even known about
Diver or 15300/Daytona?
I know there have been threads in the past but I was hoping for some fresh feedback now that the 15300 is completely out of stock. I currently have a diver that is still under warranty and I am debating trading for either an unworn but older black daytona +cash or a rarely worn 15300 from 2007 even. I love the diver but the length is a bit much for my wrists. Any opinions would be most welcome on the comparison or trade proposition. In addition, thanks to all the posters on this forum for excellent research that kills my work productivity!
Omega Planet Ocean 42 Gray Ceramic
Model # 232.30.42.21.01.001Anyone have a wrist shot or ownership comments. I'm worried about the thickness... I've been shopping for one and a few people on TRF that have them haven't been all that helpful. I wanted to put two Omega's toward one with cash and get down to one watch..Thanks
115200 Black dial Steel Date Price New
My Rolex AD has an 115200 Black dial Steel Date with box selling for $4200. It seems like a very good price and I'm trying to decide if I should get it. It has the engraved Bezel and he said it just has not sold for several years so they are selling just to move it. The Rolex warranty has expired so I get a 3 year store warranty. It seems like a good deal I just don't know if I'm missing something.
