Breitling Transocean Chronograph GMT Watch
Breitling has expanded their Transocean Chronograph line, with the introduction of a GMT version into the range. The new Breitling Transocean Chronograph GMT makes for a practical and no-nonsense addition to this range of vintage inspired watches. The Transocean has been a successful line for Breitling, offering their well known name on watches that exhibit a more classic styling that is reminiscent of their Top Time models from the 1960's. You can see watches-dealer hands-on review of the Breitling Chronomat 44 GMT with the same movement here. The Transocean Chronograph GMT will be available in either steel or red gold and will measure 43mm wide. Buyers will have their choice of a white or black guilloche dial, but the entire production will be limited to 2000 units in steel and just 200 units in red gold. So, while the case size remains the same as the standard Transocean Chronograph, the limited edition GMT gets an upgraded dial along with its GMT functionality. The Transocean Chrono
Blu Galaxy Watch: Pretty Little Cosmos
Isn't this a pretty looking watch? Pretty in the way a man can wear it and not feel weird. Before you start reading this article, please start the video below. You can then get in the "cosmic mood" to read about this watch. As KC Tay mentioned in regard to two of the images above that he took located on Horomundi, this is a notoriously difficult watch to photograph. Why? Because the beauty comes from the spectacular array of sparkles that comes from the galaxy looking dial of this correctly named Blu Galaxy watch, and these are simply hard to get on camera. This is one of Blu's first watches and was released in 2000.The watch dial is the major attraction and is constructed from something called Aventurine, which is a type of glass made with small copper particles inside. The copper particles inside of the man-made glass provide the incredible glitter look. Here is a bit about Aventurine directly from Blu. Note that the Aventurine used in the Galaxy watch is made in the Murano region of
An Elephant for a 5712......
I recently got the Elephant and find myself wearing it less than I thought. The 5712/1A has always been on my list to get, but figured down the road....My friend throws a dinner party and has his 5712 on so he lets me try it on. Felt comfortable....But, I was really surprised at how light it felt on the wrist - almost too light as in feeling 'cheap'. God forbid, it is not, as I know the 5712 is nearly twice the cost of an Elephant but does anyone feel the 5712 feels too light? It makes a SS Daytona feel substantial in weight. So now I have second thoughts on later acquiring the 5712/1A. Perhaps the 5712G for not much more?? Does the white gold feel heavier? Sent from my Zeitwerk
Gerald Genta imterviewww..
From a few years ago, just published ... Particularly interesting (at least to me), were his thoughts on size and comfort of watches, and on his original concept of the Nautilus. .veryimportantwatches/...g_rules_en.pdf
Omega 300 1972 (still glows?)
Hi i am looking this watch over and it looks almost new! The lume glows bright and the movement looks untouched and spotless. Can any one see if there is something up or is it just a great watch from 72.Thanks
