Edox Classe Royale Revisited: Watch With Many Faces: Looks Good In Each
I fondly mentioned the Edox Classe Royale line of watches before, but since then have garnered new appreciation for the line. Though I retain my previous positive sentiments regarding the impressive symmetry of the watch. The design has a distinct appeal that transcends among many different watch lovers. It is hard to dispute with the eye catching and eye pleasing looks of the Edox Classe Royale. Several years ago, Edox reinvented itself after a stint as a relatively obscure maker of quartz dress watches. The family owned company then decided to recapture its mechanical roots and produce a unique line of classy sport watches.Edox is on a roll, and trying to market its watches aggressively as they should. Still, it is hard to penetrate lots of direct sales channels, such as retail. So you will probably not find Edox watches at your local department store. Just Won Auction
I'd like to ask for your opinion. I just won an auction from Fellows Auction House in the UK. The item I won is the Omega Seamaster Chronograph Olympic Series London 1948. What is the value if this watch as I won it for $2,350. Any constructive comments welcome. One thing I didn't like is, it said that the hour hand could not be verified due to time constraints but the movement is operational. I said to them how can you not verify if the hour hand works yet you're supposed to be a reputable auction house. He gave me some song and dance about how many people they had working for them how long it would take to verify if the hour hand worked blah blah blah. My feeling is they should if they're putting it up for auction test not only the minute hand but make sure the hour hand also works. Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk

I just received this. I've done my research and it looks good in my eyes, but I want confirmation since this is my second venture into panerai. Hopefully the pictures are good enough. If more pics from different angle r needed, let me know. Thanks in advance. PS since this is the destro, I should wind it counter clock wise, correct?I blame it on the autoconnect.

AP ROO Safari or Panerai Pam569?
I don't know if I am just getting an itch to get something new but I went to the boutique and tried on the Panerai Pam569. I thought it was just a beautiful watch! It is one of those watches that doesn't photograph well but on the wrist, it's just a different story!So with that being said, I don't want to keep both the AP and Panerai. I want to keep one or the other...I already have the Safari. My question is, would you get rid of it to acquire a 569?I already know what the AP section would say and I am curious to what this forum thinks...TIA.Frank
